First off I'd like to apologize if this is the wrong section, but I figured you guys would be the most knowledgeable in this area. I was on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) til right before Halloween and I got tired of the hormonal roller coaster ride so I quit doing it. I was using 1mg every 2 weeks. I'd crash every 8 days or so and it was horrible. I also was developing slight case of gyno which is what lead me to using Clomid(just to get my balls producing) with Letro for post cycle therapy (pct). I only did 100 mg of clomid for 2 weeks along with working up to 1mg of letro a day as I finished using the clomid. As the gyno went away, after a few days tapered down to a dose to .3 and the gyno started coming back(still have it and worse then ever, but not my biggest problem ATM), but I had to discontinue use of the letro cause not only was my sex drive shot, but I had the worst aching joints imaginable, I could barely walk down the stairs cause my ankles hurt so bad. I stopped the Letro first week of december and used Triazole and Activate for 3 weeks and tapered off. So I was off everything for 3 days and got blood work done, which was ordered by the Dr. To my surprise I have finally managed to get my Total Testosterone levels to a level thats acceptable, 571, which is not bad for a 30 year old who has been dealing with low test for a long time. But my free test is only 18.1 pg/dl and from what I read, that is horrible for a man my age. The Dr says its in the average range of 9-26 but what I read online is that healthy levels is for a man my age is 150?! So I want to confirm if 18.1 is really that pathetically low and is there anything I can do about it? And also, would my post cycle therapy (pct) have anything to do with the levels being that low? I know Im gonna get flammed here cause Im sure I have done lots wrong but I really did research a ton about post cycle therapy (pct) and research drugs and gyno and did the best I could. If anyone has gyno advice, I'd love to hear it, if anyone has tips for raising free test plz share. Thanks guys

This won't answer all your questions, but one thing that would help even out the roller coaster ride and lower your estrogen is splitting your dose into more frequent injections. When you say one mg every two weeks I assume you mean 1 ml which is usually 200 mg of test cyp but you also didn't say what you are taking. So split that 200 mg into at least 100 mg per week. You may evren want to try 50 mg twice a week. That will help even you out and keep the aromatization down allowing you to use less Aromatase inhibitor (AI) or perhaps no AI.

Also if you had ankle pain like that it is very likely that your crashed your E too low. Having it too low is just as bad as too high.

Another thought -- if you are doing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) you shouldn't have to do a post cycle therapy (pct). There is no cycle. testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is for life.

Thank you very much for your reply and yes my bad, 1ml, Test Enanthate. And I like your idea, but I was only given enough needle for every 2 weeks but I will bring that up to Dr next time we meet if I try going back on. And the ankle pain was definitely low E, as soon as I quit the Letro it got a little better and after I stopped the Triazole(AI) it has gotten completely better in a matter of days. The Ankle never hurt when using the Test, only when I started the Letro so Im pretty positive that was what it was, not to mention aching elbows and shoulders, but not nearly as bad as my ankles. It was so fricken weird...anyway, I was not trying to stay on it for life, as I know thats usually what people do, but I was using it to my advantage cause I am usually in the 250-400ng Test range and during my busy time of the year doing construction and competing as a strongman, I could hardly function without it. Something to do with dieting/stress and lack of sleep my T levels naturally crash lower during the spring and summer when work picks up. I really need to see a specialist about why I am so healthy, yet so messed up hormone wise, but there are none around here and my Dr cant even recommend one cause he doesnt know any close. So I was basically taking advantage of being able to get it but had no plan of sticking to it forever, I dont have kids yet and Im not trying to kill every chance of that happening. I'd really rather just find a way to deal with this using supps instead, but now Im starting to think that its not the low T thats been killing me, but low Free Test thats been hurting me for the last couple years. Cause even when I had 450ng my body still had horrible low test symptoms.

At age 30 your total T seems low. 450 at age 30 is low in my opinion. Poor sleep and poor diet can affect it, as can other things. You should work to find out what the cause of your low T is. Get a sleep study done. Start getting more sleep. Check you diet. Hopefully you aren't eating mcdonalds every day. Meet with an endocrinologist to discuss your symptoms. Check you thyroid, etc. Try to get to the bottom of it. Do you have primary or secondary hypogonadism? At age 30 you are young to have to go on trt.

As for needles, just go to the pharmacy where you get your T filled at and ask for more needles. Tell them you want a box 100 since it is cheaper to buy them in bulk. They should take care of you if you get your T prescription filled there.

One of the side effects of low estrogen is joint pain.

If you can't find a good doctor where you live call IMT. They will take good care of you. Lots of guys on this board will vouch for their services. Just curious, where do you live that you can't find a decent doctor?

Well my T has always been below normal but higher then "low" from DRs perspective. Started testing T levels at 21 cause I felt I should be able to gain more mass naturally then I was. Im strong, like freakish strong, but could never really gain good amounts of muscle even tho Im an endomorph. I've never been above 600ng/dl! But 2 years ago I dieted for a BBing show, and totally crashed my T, got down to 49ng/dl! I was being totally healthy from what I thought...but I dieted too long and ate far too little Sat fat and Cholesterol for too long. Dieted for 24 weeks and maintained 2.3% on pinch test for like 5 weeks cause I got lean way faster then expected, didnt even need cardio and I was eating over 3000cals a day, just high carbs and very low fat. Like 40 grams or less a day, maybe 10 grams of sat fat...anyway, I havent been the same since! But now my T is 571, highest its been since, but still have bad low T symptoms. Only symptom I dont have any longer is lack of sex drive. I have always had insomnia, so that could def have something to do with bad hormonal levels, but I do REST 8-10 hours a night and I do sleep ok most nights, but hardly ever sleep through the night. I just live about 45 mins from the nearest real city so its just little family practices everywhere around here. Im in Washington state BTW
