Very new...tons of questions!!

Okay gang, since I've finally found a source of competent people on the web, I'm hoping you can all help me put some weight on.

First, I'm 5'7" and weigh about 145 right now. I'm naturally lean and I'm sporting about an 8% BF. So far I've had a very hard time gaining weight. I'm not looking to get into competition or anything, just want to bulk up for work (I'm a cop). I'd like to put on about 25 - 30lbs.

I have a standard free weight set at home and access to some universal sets at work.

Here's the questions.

1 - Can I do this working just with the equipment I have access to? And can I do it with 1hr or so workouts 3 times a week?
2 - Really, how much do I need to be eating and how often? I suck at this part of it. I sometimes go all day only eating one or two real meals.
3 - If I can commit to the diet and the lifting, should I invest in some anabolic supplements to really kick it into gear? I've looked at something online called an "8 week blitz" with D-Bol and a few other supplements. What do you think?

Any input will be greatly appreciated. I'd really like to get this weight on and keep it on.

Thanks everyone!!

read any of the dead lift threads or size threads. get back after youy have read these. should keep you busy for a while.

1. Sounds like you have what you need at your disposal. Weights are weights. 1 hour 3 times a week is great. In fact, ideal for the doggcrapp routine, search for info on it on the web and this forum if youre stuck for ideas on a routine.

2. 6-7 meals a day every 2-3 hours is the idea here. Check out the diet section, great resource.

3. If you are just starting out most people advise against this. See how you progress and decide later. Many think its a good idea to train naturally for a couple of years first. Your call at the end of the day. Maybe any natural 150ish pounders can tell you how long it can take to gain 30lbs to give you some idea.

Keep up the thirst for info and have fun applying the knowledge

I agree with esvux, get the diet in line and a couple years experience before getting into the sauce!!
