Weight Gainers- Quick question...

evansss

GET BIG
These days, throughout the day, between work and other various shit going on, i rarely get enough time to consume the cals i need. My friend just gave me a weight gainer. Its On's Pro Complex gainer with about 600 cals a scoop and 55 grams of protein. Now, I did drop alot of weight the past month and a half and obviously my strength went down tremendously. Now that i do have the weight off, i'd like to put on some real lean muscle. What would be the most effective way to incorporate a gainer like this into my diet. i was thinking post workout since it has complex carbs and slow digesting proteins....

Or, i was also thinking i could use this as a meal replacement for breakfast since i rarely have time to eat anything when i wake up anymore...( a sin i know)

I would try your best to eat a solid meal for breakfast.

As for the weight gainer, use it because your friends gave it to you. But once it is gone, don't bother buying more. Weight gainers tend to have alot of sugar and lower quality proteins in them.

When you finish that free powder, make your own.
Protein powder
Ground Oats
Natty PB

uhmm not tru.... go to up your mass by mhp its awsome especially the cookies and cream flavor.. and you get half a daily value of fiber in one serving
its fuckin awsome

sounds about right. when would you suggest taking it?

true . only concern is i workout relativlely late and by the time i get home its usually 9pm or later...still good to take?

Well that depends and im saying this by my preferance not rule of thumb. i eat a good pwo meal fit the gym take a weightgainer about 45 minutes after then a good meal before bed but im usually out of the gym by 7 pm and in bed by 10:30pm. i like protein shakes and weightgainers but i dont use them as a replacement but a suppliment.

The problem is probably going to be once you take that gainer that late you wont eat a solid meal that night unless you stay up late. what time do you usually go to bed? the gainer i take im full for a couple hours at least

I have never used this powder but it doesn't look that bad for a gainer. Only 6 grams of sugar. But I wouldn't consume this as your first PWO protein intake since it has calcium caseinate and egg albumen. I would rather have protein thats 100% whey as my fist protein PWO.
