what can i do to stop the post cycle acne???

i must be prone to it or something but i seem to be getting severe chest shoulder/arm and back acne like massive cystic like acne that cant always be popped. ive tried tanning and showering a lot always trying to stay clean it just seams to come no matter what and lasts 4-6 months. i get the results and then am too embarrassed to show it off all big for the summer and wont set foot on a beach. its gross and i dont know what to do. the sides of accutane scare the shit out of me as well and would that be any every cycle thing or do i take it once and im done for life?
