what do you think of this routine

Hello everybody

Im going to expose the way most people train in my gym, and how i was always told to train. Im curious because i see nobody on this forum doing it this way.. but here around me everybody does like this. Its a split 1x routine, so every muscle is hit 1x per week with 3-4 exercices of 4 sets at 8-12reps. 4 trainings per week, two muscles worked at each workout. Every week, the 4 exercices per muscle are different.

For example,

Monday: chest/biceps
Tuesday: thighs/calves
Wednseday: off
Thurdsday: back/triceps
Friday: shoulders/abs

Is it good?
 
Day1: Back/Shoulders
Day2:off
Day3: Legs/Triceps
Day4:off
Day5: Chest/Biceps
Day6:off
Day7:off

I try to train to this routine with the 5x5 therory. The split is similar, it seems to be having a positive affect. I think the style you train (dc, 5x5, ect) has more of an affect on your gains than your training split would.
