What is the smallest pin you can use?

I would like to do more frequent injections for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but don't want to pin 23 gauge al the time. What is the smallest you have used?

Yes sir.. Cashout and a few others had a thread regarding insulin needles.

I draw it up with 18g and backfill the insulin syringe. I started this method about a month ago.

Corvette is right. I have been doing my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) with slin pins. If you are lean enough, then you can do IM shots with a slin pin and yes it will come out just fine. Thickness of your test has some to do with it. However, my understanding is that the syringe is smaller and the needle length is shorter that it creates a good strong force and it comes out just fine. I also shoot my test sub-q but I don't shoot more than .5ml of test at one time because it has the possibility of causing an abcess. Userat204 actually introduced me to the sub-q method. Just backload like Corvette said and they go in like butter!! Oh and my slin pins are 29g 1/2 inch by the way.

I also use insulin pins 3x a week and I don't even backload, I extract directly with the insulin pin. if you take some warm water from your sink and put the vial in a ziplock bag and keep it submerged for a few minutes, it will extract just fine when the oil is a little warm. I've never had issues, sometimes I was even skeptical if it would extract since I had used up all the hot water in the shower so it was barely warm and it still worked. It seems like it would work even without warming it because it extracts that easy, I'm going to try it next time. Though I only inject 30 units at a time so it might depend on how much you're trying to extract.

back filling is annoying as fuck plus leaves more room for error and contamination.

i buy from the sponsor on this site and get the detachable 1cc syringe and get extra needles so i don't have to back fill. i use 26g needle to pin and 22g to draw.

like I said you don't have to backload I don't know why people say to do that, you can extract it with the slin pin if the oil is just a bit warm. way easier to not even have to switch needles, no idea why people would rather backload or even switch needles when you don't have to.

Have you noticed any changes since injecting Sub-Q? I think there are some studies that show you get a more stable T level doing it Sub-Q. Not that you'd notice subtle changes.... just curious.

i switch the needle because i feel its cleaner since the new needle did not touch anything and is completely sterile. and needle is sharper. i can feel the difference from using the same needle i used to draw. also i payed like 11$ for 100 extra needles so i can draw and pin with new needles. that will last me a long time. its pretty cheap so why not.

if that works for you that's all that matters. personally i can't tell any difference using the same needle and I never bleed anymore whereas when I used to do glute injections I used to bleed just about every time and need to put a band aid. so i'm guessing it's sharp enough, i don't have to do a dart like motion or anything either I just get close and put it in even if i go slow it goes in just fine.

with your method it does sound more sterile, I just wipe off the top of the vial with an alcohol pad pretty good every time, nothing negative has happened so far so hope it will be fine.

i just like the convenience and simplicity i guess but, like I said each to their own.

lastly, for anybody else that's interested today I extracted the oil without heating up the vial in warm water and it worked fine, no issues and it didn't take any longer to do it. it might be since in texas we're in a warmer climate, I'm not sure but, there weren't any issues so for now I won't be heating up the vial anymore either will just extract and pin.
