What is up with all these damn urban actives popping up?

There use to be about 4 GOLDS GYM's within about 15 miles from my house, and now I see all the GOLDS being bought out by urban active. What is up with that?

Not that I give a crap about gold's, but what is going on? Urban active is pretty much for old people around here. I hit one up today just to see what it is all about, and all they had were treadmills and these machines the guy said were for stabalizing a muscle group. He said all the older people use those. Wtf? I saw like 2 benches, and a smith machine. Dumbells went up to 75.

That is crazy.

were getting golds gyms built up around here like crazy. couldnt tell ya. 2 sentry food stores were bought out by them around here... i was wondering wtf was going on

I actually went to a urban active in Toledo Ohio that was really nice for people looking for that kind of thing. It was a huge ass complex... Had a big ass free weight room, lots of machines, upstairs track and cardio equipment, theater cardio room,tanning beds and a smoothy stand up front. The trainers sucked.

Not for me..I like my local hardcore gym or the Ymca....

The only good thing about the place really were all the fine chicks.
