what i've noticed...

when i started leaning out (only eating lean meat, complex carb foods and high protein foods) i found out that i grew more in terms of muscle size and body frame compared to having an off season diet kinda thing (eating everything in site)

can anybody explain this for me?

i agree you have to be a eating machine to take in high protein on a see food diet , junk tends to fill you up before enough protein has been ingested .
 
You can still bulk and eat clean you just have to eat a lot, it can get quite expensive lean meat and fish are not the cheapest things at the market.
