I am 22, 6ft and 154lbs. I recently had my free test levels tested and they came back very low (39 pg/ml). The minimum for someone my age should be 83 pg/ml going up to 250 pg/ml. I have a lower free test level than is expected in a 69 year old man!
I believe my levels have always been low. I didn't develop that well during puberty, I have narrow shoulders, a small jaw, I struggle to put on weight and despite several attempts at following a training & diet program I can never build muscle. I also display some of the personality traits associated with low T, such as anxiety, shyness and lack of willpower/motivation.
I do however have a deep voice, plenty of body & facial hair, good strength for my size, good sex drive and I am prone to acne. I have also noticed mild hair loss in the temple region, so my symptoms are confusing.
My question is, if I have genetically low T, or grew up with low T due to some un- diagnosed condition, what are some things I could I expect going on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and experiencing high levels of T all of a sudden? Would it be a big shock to my system?
