where to start on the 5x5

Ok if your flat 1 rep bb bench press max is say 235lbs...how much weight should you start with on the 5x5 routine if you plan on doing it for 12 weeks? what about squats and deads, how much less than your 1 rep max should you start with?

its tricky b/c if you start with too little you feel like you are wasting your time, if you start with too much you plateau too soon....anyone have the correct answer? thanks in advance?

there is no set answer. youl have to spend a week or two getting your numbers dialed in. better to start light and build from there.
 
well, I think you could lower your bench lbs a little and start 5x5 from there..after that, you could go on and on and on..
 
look at the online journal section and you can get a feel for stuff like that... however my first 2 or 3 sets aren't usually that intense they are more like an extension of a warmup
