do you think that if you took two people and one you gave steroids and all the supplements but he had no will to lift he would have more progress than someone on the same supplements with the will and the want to lift

Anyhow, given the same genetics, I think anyone training moderately hard (95%) will do better on gear than a 100% motivated natural person. Given different genetics, then you can't answer the question.

I think will power in the gym though is your constant, every day challenge. Otherwise your mind will fool you into taking it easy, even if its 98% versus 100%. However, not everyone believes in high intensity or training to failure.
