Totally depends on what you actually did. If it's a true stretch/tear of muscle fibers - yes. If it's a tendon/ligament problem (more likely), then it will NOT heal faster.
Either way, I'd recommend seeing a chiropractor and getting their input. You may also want to start focusing on core strength and form in the future to prevent this from happening again.
I mentioned a chiropractor instead of a GP doctor as I've done this more times than I want to admit - and it wasn't until I found a really good back guy that found a way to progress without hurting myself.
