I've been lucky with my workout partners. The only complaint I've ever had with a few were their level of energy wasn't up to where I liked it or where I was. To be fair though I think I was comparing them to my best friend who was one of my first workout partners (don't workout with him anymore as we live in different cities). His level of energy was great. Man I miss the ish talking. And I'm not talking about yapping all day between sets, I'm talking about "dude are you going to rest all day or can we finish this workout." Gawd I loved it. My favorite was "O that's cool, you're going to use lighter weight for your set, not judging man, I'm just going to go a bit higher, I just want to get a good workout in. No no don't put it back down, it's all you man those are good for warming up, aren't you still warming up?"
Dude you bringing back memories. I miss my old gym. Sadly it closed down and gave way to the bigger cooporate style gyms, then I moved away for my career...*sigh* Honestly if you were to put the Kaname of now back in that gym with some of my old partners I wouldn't be able to survive the warm up. I'm no sluff now of course but to be honest I lack that spark you can't help but get when surrounded by a bunch of silverback co*k swinging gorillas. Man we had so many powerlifters and amateur bodybuilders there. Would joke when we saw someone new as we all knew they likely would stop coming to the gym in about a month or so.
Sorry for the ramble man. I just miss the gym and everyone (the regulars). Man you didn't even have to ask for a spot. Even if you didn't know the person, they would walk over to you when they saw you going for a set that appeared heavy. They would just walk up and be like I got you. THEN even talk ish lol. Dude "is that it, come on man you have more in you, one more, one more...one more!" Mofo it was one more rep 6 reps ago!
Point is, I think I judge everything and everyone by what I use to have. Ok enough rambling from me.
