WTF am I doing wrong???

I am a super ectomorph, hardgainer, fast metabolism, etc., etc.

Been training off and on since my teens, now I am 38.

I have had oppurtunities in the past to try some gear, but either didn't have the money at the time or for some other reason, it just wasn't right.

I have tried many different diets, supplements, and workouts to gain mass, but never with any results that anyone but me would notice. Maybe I would get a little stronger, or a little more cut, but that would be all.

Since my early 20's, I have ranged from 179lbs and 12% BF to 192 lbs and 19% BF. Mainly just because I work outside and usually store a little extra fat in the winter, and sweat it off in the summer. Height is 5'10"

Even when I am not training, I never gain much fat. I can eat junk all day and 3 big meals, and never get much over 190.

So this past spring, once again the oppurtunity came along to try some AS and I decided, it's now or never.

I started a 10 week cycle on Monday June 22.

500 mg Test E per week (two 250mg injctns) weeks 1-10

40 mg Dbol ed weeks 1-4

I have researched the brand of the gear, and seems to be reputable.

I have friends who are seeing good results, using the same gear from the same source, so I have no reason to think that I am getting bad stuff.

I am eating 3-5k cal ed. Now I have four kids, so there has been the occaisonal day spent doing some family activity that doesn't permit eating every 2 hrs, but for the most part, I have been eating to the point of gagging, all day every day.

Today starts week 7 of my 10 week cycle. My body weight this morning when I stepped on the scale was a whopping 189lbs.

I have been training hard 3, sometimes 4 days a week. At first I was still doing some cardio, but after 4 weeks of Dbol, and seeing no gain, I decided to cut out all cardio.

I am seeing good pumps, a little strength increase, and a steady rise in my sex drive, so I know that the gear is having some effect on me.

I haven't had any sides, except pretty heavy sweating at night. Usually if I just make sure not to sleep with to many covers, that doesn't even happen.

No acne, no shrinking of the boys, no hair loss, or gain.

The most I have weighed on this cycle was 197. But the next day that had dropped down to my normal 192.

At least I don't have to worry about losing my gains right?

I am definetly looking better, my wife says my arms and chest look bigger. But it is very frustrating to see the same numbers on the scale day in and day out.

At this point, I am just trying to finish this cycle and looking fwd to cyle #2.

I haven't lost all hope, but what are the chances that I will pack on 10 or 15 lbs of solid weight in the last 3 wks? Is that common?

Any suggestions for now or for my next cycle?

Should I even try another cycle, or am I just not going to gain?

Should I start eating buckets of fried chicken and plates of loaded cheese fries while finishing this cycle?

This is what caught my eye the most. From the sounds of it you've been eating as often as you get the chance to eat every 2hrs. But after reading that statement I thought otherwise. What are your meals consisting of? Are you getting carbs/protein within 15min of finishing your workout? How long have you been doing the workout/style of lifting your currently using? How many grams of protein do you think your getting a day? Are you 100% sure your gear isn't bunk? What is your diet/sleep schedule on days that your not working out?
 
For me the test didnt even really kick in until week 6. so if you only go for 10 weeks thats only 4 weeks of gaining on test. Not to mention that your only on week seven and you have noticed some gains-that would leave me to beleive more gains are on the way in a hurry. I would say get more test-and go for 12-15 weeks. I would also make sure I am eating as much as I thought I was. When your at the gym you need to go heavy. screw the warm up. Go as heavy as you can! Do sets of 8, 6, 4. Always go to failure. Deadlifts, squats, bench. Hit those hard. Use the the 3 day split and eat and sleep the rest of the time. NO CARDIO! You should def eat clean but it sounds like you need all the carbs you can get.

No, what I meant by that statement is , all my life, even when I am not trying to train or follow any diet, I can eat 3 big meals a day, and all kinds of junk food and never gain weight. I was simply trying to give you a clear picture of how extremely hard it is for me to gain weight, wether its fat or muscle.

About two months before I even started this cycle, I cleaned up my diet and was eating (6) 500 calorie meals a day consisting of around 50 - 80 grams of protein, 25 - 50 grams of complex carbs, and 5- 10 grams of good fat.

When I started the cycle I increased that to (7) 600 cal meals, and some other snacks (nuts, or beef jerky) during the day for a total of 5000 calories, or close to that.

Its cool-just throwing out Ideas-you gotta try something new until you find what works for you.

I would say no dumbells. compound excercises only. Like if you do chest, start with incline and use the bar.
 
Try Optimum Nutritions "Serious Mass" , it's a protein shake with 1600 calories per shake if mixed with skim milk. Use whole milk and drink 3 of these ed!! Plus other food of course.

hey meathead,maybe you should try traning 5 days a week.im no professional but 3 days a week doesnt seem enought to workout your whole body to its full potential.with 5 days ull get a body part every day instaed off multiple body parts a day.and not gaing weight on the scale could be due to loseing the water retention due to stopping dbol and replacing that water loss with muscle caused by the test,evem thought test has some water retention as well.i think that it what is happening since your wife says u loo bigger.

Why are compound excersizes better for building?

Also give me more examples besides deadlifts, sqauts, and bench. What compound excersize would work your biceps?

Stimulate more stress on your muscle and body and also release more test from your body. They also tend to cause more tearing of muscle fibers. Other examples includes Cleans, rowing (hit biceps), chin ups (hit biceps), pullups leg presses theres many more.

And do you think I should get some more test and keep doing the 500 mg a week for 12-15 instead of 10? Especially in light of the fact that I have seen such little results as of now? Or should I just finish up, get through my PCT and start a new cycle in late fall?
 
The very little difference you see in your weight and physical change is from your diet and training. Everything else is a PLACEBO effect. If you did not burst into growth and strength on dbol then you got bunk dbol. And if the same person that gave you bunk dbol then chances are he gave you bunk test as well.

You didn't describe how strong you got in the gym so I'm guessing not strong at all because if you did you'd be bragging about it.

You can sit home watching tv all day and gain on that cycle more than you have gained.

Don't worry about gaining weight by the end of your cycle. You have a whole new cycle ahead of you as this wasn't really a cycle. Look for a new supplier. Not a "hit and miss" one.

I thought the same thing at first. The Dbol is the little blue hearts 10mg, made by Body Research in Thailand, and I have searched it on this site, google, and other forums, and everybody says this is good stuff. Several say probably the best they have tried. So why would mine be bunk?

Also,

All the guys using this same source, are seeing good results.

You may be right, but it just doesn't add up that this stuff would be bad, unless the stuff he gave me was just old or had been exposed to high temps and just lost it's potency.

If the test is real you should know by now. You should be horny 3 times a day at least. I stand up when the wind blows. If its kicked in you should get stronger everytime you go to the gym. You should also be hungry ALL THE TIME!
