What do you guys think of this? I read an article in Muscular Development that claims eating 3 servings of yogurt along with a low calorie diet will help burn BF, specifically from the waistline. It also says on the Yoplait 6 oz yogurts that its clinically proven to reduce bodyfat. So whats the deal? Anyone else hear of this?

i've heard that as well; something about the calcium content. not sure though, but it seems pretty widespread. widespread not necessarily meaning legit, however lol.

Yeah its actually not just Yogurt its dairy. It has to do with the calcium like the gorgeous lady above me stated.

I have doubts about the sugar content helping any, which means eating plain yogurt. I'd be willing to experiment though.

'Cause I've been eating yogurt for breakfast every day for several months and I haven't seen any fat loss.

yea i think it would be bad to like go work out with milk sitting on your stomach cause then it would get warm and then ud probably get real sick and puke

even if it were true i think the sugar content would offset whatever fat burning advantage you got from yogurt..

sorry to bring back an old thread but what about just eating plain yogurt like Mudge said? there's hardly any sugar compared to the flavored stuff...any advantage?

Well yea the advantage is theres no sugar. Throw in some splenda to sweeten it up.

Real yoghurt is good for your digestive system because it keeps it in bacteria balance. Most yoghurt available in grocery stores is loaded with sugar--I prefer to add my own fresh fruit or dried fruit to real yoghurt.

Just leave your skim milk out in the sun till it gets chunkie. Now you have NO ADD SURGAR/FAT FREE yogurt.

Isn't the lactose content in the fat-free yogurt high though? I mean in 8 oz fat-free yogurt you usually get 13/18 carb-protein ratio. However, in KRAFT fat-free cheese you get 1/5 carb-protein ratio per slice, which seems to be a better choice for cutting and calcium.
