Awesome, nice thread. I was thinking of doing a cycle just like this to start out. Seems like you had fairly decent and subtle results without too many sides. Kinda what I am looking for for a first cycle.
This sounds pretty good. I often make one like this. I use curry powder, lots of cumin, more onion (cooked). The difference is I will add a couple cans of beans and instead of tomato paste a can of tomatoes, and maybe some peas or something else. Also maybe the lean ground beef. You can make a...
I agree that that seems like a lot of food in the evenings. Maybe you can somehow try and fit a meal in between you breakfast and lunch and push your lunch slightly later. Other than that doesn't seem too bad to bulk. Maybe up your carbs a bit I'd guess.
Sounds like you already identified what you need to change. You are eating very light in the mornings (seems too light, and maybe change the second protein shake for real food?), and then dinner is probably derailing the plans.
Probably great for you an the kids if you try and get healthy food...
Ya definitely does burn muscle. But I def seem to burn more muscle when I'm not eating enough. I've found that doing a lot of cardio every day is the only thing that has brough my BF down enough. Just not sustainable though.
I've done this kind of routine and really gotten good results from it. Looking to change it up again now though. I'm thinking of moving from the lower weight higher reps to high weight low reps.
Just not sure if this is the best way to gain size.
Ya I try to change it up but maybe I'm not doing it enough. I did P90X that was kind of based on this, but I didn't really feel that the changes were THAT big between 3 week cycles of a certain routine.
I seem to have responded best with fully body workouts with compound exercises. I have been...
Ya the January "Resolution Rush" at the gym drives me insane. Last year I switched to P90X just to avoid it. But I can't say I hate it, I started my journey towards fitness and gym life with a new year's resolution when I was 18. It is frustrating though.
LOL. I can't get to eating steak at that point. I started eating it well done and have slowly progressed to medium rare but I think that will be my last stop.
Before I couldn't even imagine being a vegetarian. Especially when bodybuilding. But I've seen a few vegetarian bodybuilders manage to...
I start higher weight and then go lower. My fav is to max out and then immediately continue the set at a lower weight and max out again. Seems to push me well.
