    I actually don't like the way big traps look so I don't hit them directly either. They get plenty of work from deadlifts. It makes your shoulders look narrower when you have huge traps.

    You need to give muscles time to repair, maybe thats why you're stalling. When I stall I will switch rep ranges. I'm if doing 4 sets of 6 with heavy weight, I'll switch to 3 sets of 10, and vice versa.

    I find that more rest is better for me. I only ever get sore in my legs, sometimes shoulders, but I don't use that as a guide.
