Hit my shin, and it swelled up like a baseball

Yup. Good advice there. And compression too, if you have any wraps or stuff you can use there. Also, be wary of a compartment syndrome setting in (numbness in the lower leg before or after activity, difficulty flexing the ankle, etc.) because that could be something serious.

    calf tingling...squatting halted??

Might wanna get that looked at.......only thing that would cause it to tingle like that, that quickly, would be a pinched nerve around the knee joint, IMO.

trying to repair a torn quad quicker

Time, lots of it. And treatments (laser, ultrasound, rehab, etc.). Lots of that too. A torn quad (even partially torn, like you described) isn't something that you can return from quickly at all. I'd say you're looking at at least 4-6 months of good healing to be back to normal. And, if you...

The monte's first serious question, involves squatting

Well said Inked. However, where, specifically, is the cracking at in your knees? If it's medial or lateral, that could be just a tendon rolling around over the bony anatomy, or it could possibly be something wrong with your meniscus. If it's dead set center, that's probably chondromalacia...

Do alot of you guys sweat more than average?

I agree to an extent.....that was one of the things we were taught in Exercise Physiology -- increased sweating means that you are better adapted to heat, (cooling response), which usually means that you work out more. But on my part, I sweat so badly, even in the dead of winter (gets all the...

    rack deads alright?

I agree. Plus, if you messed up your knee, anything weight-bearing above your normal bodyweight and walking is going to cause pain and more problems. Just think about the kinetic chain and such........you may be holding 300lbs, but that means that the hips are supporting that much weight, plus...

Bruschi's stroke, what supp/roid will they blame this one on

A week or two when the Tox report comes back. I honestly doubt that juice is found in his system, but based on an interview of one of his high school teammates I saw (who said "he'd gotten so big I hardly recognized him") I'm sure they'll find a way to blame steroids.

    blowing a fuse

Ditto. Headaches like that are likely due to that bp spike seen during lifting, IMO....same thing as the dizzy feeling we all know and love.

    Groin injury?

Could possibly be a hernia, but I think I would definitely look into possible referred pain from an injury in the adductor group before checking into that too deeply. I can't remember which, but I think it's the adductor brevis that has an origin at or around the pubic symphysis, which could...
