I have tried many preworkouts

-Arnold pre workout

Most of the time I cant feel a thing unless I take twice the recommended dosage
Any tips on what pre workouts are good?
I hear lots of stories where beginners only gain water weight and strength on the first cycle, but not actual muscle. Is this true?
I am talking about a basic Test only cycle for 10-12 weeks
I find squats to be very hard on my back, while the leg press I can do with no problem. Would my gains be less if I did more leg presses instead of squats
Right now I do 4 weight training sessions a week, as well as 3 cardio sessions. If I do my cardio on "rest days" thats 7 days of physical exercise. Should I do cardio on the same day as weight training and have proper rest days with no physical activities besides walking etc?
I would probably train something like this
Chest morning. arms evening (monday)
back morning. shoulders evening (wednesday)
legs morning. abs and forearms evening (friday)
for 1 hour each session
Right now I can bench press 2 plates for about 9 reps. It has been like this for a few months now and my bench barely goes up anymore
How long would it take to reach 3 plates if I do everything right (train/diet/sleep)
I can only access the gym three days a week due to a busy schedule.
If I train with heavy weights twice in a day (1 hour each) would that be fine? or is that too much work in such little time and would lead to fatigue etc?
I did some research the past few months and found the following work
-Eat 6 smaller meals a day rather than 2 or 3 large meals.
-Do HIIT cardio (high intensity sprinting followed by slow jogging and fast again and slow and so on) - twice a week is good
