Does anyone here have type 2 diabetes? I am interested in particular, if testosterone replacement has helped any one here with glucose control.
This has been studied and it has been shown that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) improved insulin sensitivity and metabolic syndrome.
Prospective hrt research study
I just want to remind every one that Chip currently carrying out a prospect study examining the effect of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for the treatment of late onset hypogonadism (LOH). The results will be published in the peer reviewed literature...
In response to Chip's project, I propose that we help Chip's efforts by contributing to this testosterone research thread.
We can really help out Chip by posting research that has been completed on TRT so that Chip will have these references available for his study. We can also discuss these...
This will be an improtant study for sure. I recall reading a study that showed improvement in blood lipids and other cardiac risk factors. It will be interesting to see if Chip's protocal shows a similar improvement.
Unfortunately, there is way more money to be made by the pharmaceutical industry by peddling their new, high tech patented anti-depressants rather than repleting a hypo-gonadal male's testosterone. That's is a pity. All these men are going through life with hypo-gonadal symptoms being masked...
You guys have to remember that anti-aging Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is not mainstream medicine at this point. Doctors really have no formal training in this area in med school. Also, there is no accredited fellowships in this area either. The American Academy of Anti-aging medicine does...
That's actually a very important study for a few reasons.
"Synthetic testosterone, is readily available, inexpensive, and relatively low in adverse side effects when use at a therapeutic dose."
This statement is key - the fact that there is way more money to be made by the pharmaceutical...
I totally agree. Before I came here, I talked to a few docs (endo, Uro) in the hospital that I practice. They for the most part are totally clueless regarding Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). But in their defense, their practice is really not focused on anti-aging medicine.
I agree. At this point, my practice is way to busy to incorporate anti-aging medicine. But, I might consider giving advice and prescribing regimens for small circle of select associates.
I'm on Tcyp, Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), and an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). Feeling GREAT btw. My Ttot and LH were both low pre-treatment. I'm planning on checking a set of labs in a few weeks to see where I'm at. My %BF is very low so I'm not sure I really am going to need the Aromatase...
Are there any A4M members on this forum? I am a new to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and I just started a regimen 6 weeks ago. I myself am a physician, and I have become intrigued with this field.
I have been considering becoming A4M board certified. Is this a worthwhile endeavor? Is A4M a...
It's been a gradual return to high libido state. If you look at the pharmacokinetics of Cypionate, it will gradually achieve a steady state level after three weeks. So, if you believe that libido is at least partially related to free serum test concentration, libido should somewhat mirror that...
Tell Chip what your specific goals are and what symptoms are most important to you. He'll assemble a regimen perfect for your individual case. I was impressed!
I'm four weeks into Chip's regimen. Huge changes already - I've shed a pound or two of fat and gained a few pounds of muscle already. My body type resembles Georges St-Pierre, so I really don't have a lot of fat to loose. Libido is back to where it should be. Wife's happy, I'm happy. I more...
