18 year old and test-E

You look in good shape.
I still doubt those poundages, but I'll never really know, will I?
I'm from the wait till you're 23 camp. I think you're too young but you're gonna do what you're gonna do. Be careful whatever that is.

good luck dude when I was 18 I thought about AAS, I waited til 20, still too young but at least I waited a little. You sound like you know your stuff, and if I were you, I would wait; just because youre so healthy and in shape and normal you would be a fool to risk screwing that up.

Thanks fitness has been my #1 hobby since I was in 8th grade and take it alot more serious than most people my age take it IMO. I have videos from my weight lifting comps laying around somewhere if anybody wanted to see them but I'm not here to prove anything, I'm just trying to get some thoughts about my situation right now. Reading other similar posts on this site and others with similarities to what i had in mind. Good or bad reasoning this can be taken either way but I've seen people write about how although there body isn't at full potential yet, they want to be the best they can be now and that their full potential isn't as great to them at age 30 or 40. Something along those lines... How I would translate it is I want to have every edge in football now and later on more than I would want it after my careers over. Sure I will probably stay active after football and head more back towards bodybuilding. Who knows thats many years away from now and the reason I brought any of this up. I know the game and have the agility and mindset to keep me going for football. The competitive nature in me is what drives me to get this "extra edge" in the game I could almost care less about my beach body or who looks the biggest on the street. That's just me though that's my reasoning but I'm also aware despite any inner drive I have or however you put it, that my body is still young and AAS or any other pro hormones will have the same health issues it could give any other person my age I just felt I have a little more reasoning than other kids wanting to do the same thing. That's just my view on it

Believe it or not I'm actually NOT trying to impress anyone I'm just asking questions that maybe some of the local gym rats and BB's couldn't give me but thanks anyways idk how much more can or will be answered. If you want to see something impressive lookup Dakota Wilcox.. very young bodybuilder my age

bro if your gonna do it i understand your reasons. i started young myself and for very similar reasons. for me it didnt work out to playing pro. ended up playing semi pro rugby. but still get a good salary from it.
all i can say is do you reasearch and know what everything your going to use is going to your body.

make sure you research Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and post cycle therapy (pct) thoroughly!

Really at what age did you start? what exactly did you run for your first cycle and I know issues vary from person to person but did you experience any long term problems?

If your going to do it there isn't anything people can say to stop you. I started at a young age myself, but I couldnt help but laugh my ass off when you said you think you've hit your 'genetic potential'

I agree it is my choice I just wanted to see what others had to say about it. Your right haha I shouldn't have put genetic potential because I'm sure with a great bulking diet and workout planned I could easily put on mass I just didnt know how much stronger I could get since I've platued at my weights for the last year. 70% diet 30% weight training has always been the motto

Unless you're pursuing a career in bodybuilding / powerlifting, there's zero reason to start AAS at such a young age. Even THEN, another 2 years wouldn't be a terrible amount of time to wait, even if 10% of your life probably seems like an eternity. Ultimately the decision is up to you, but I can all but promise, if you're really only looking into AAS use for cosmetic purposes, you ego will never be more fragile than is is RIGHT NOW, in your developmental years. It's never a good idea to make important decisions when you're overly emotional, and you'd be hard pressed to find a more emotional time in your life than your teenage years (even late teenage years). Neither your body nor your mind have really gotten to the point where you're fully developed. That being said, your body is only part of who you are as a person; maybe let that person figure a few important things out before making some fairly impactful decisions about your body. Once your hear is pointed in the right direction (not that I'm saying it's NOT), the body is bound to follow.

Great response, I understand that completely. Cosmetic reasons? Maybe not so much for looks but for the boost of power, explosiveness, speed, weight etc. I have goals and I believe AAS will definitely help with great training and diet, but I also understand the problems it can cause especially with the emotional changes that occur in teens and into your 20's like you stated. The choice of me going to the "dark side" will definitely be looked more into and I'm making no hasty decisions. The thought of starting began Ide say freshmen or sophomore year in high school so I can obviously wait a bit longer for research and health reasons.

I understand the thought of becoming pro. In all honesty, i started at 19. I was 265 at 5'8 and 15% b.f . I am now classified as a pro powerlifter. But, i will be on hormone replacement therapy for the rest of my life. LIFE. Did i know the risks associated with this? Yes. Did i believe anything bad would happen to me? No. Would i do it all again? Yes. Would i recommend anyone make the same decision that i did? Hell no.

I would strongly recommend that you wait until you atleast 21.
