1st ever cycle now on PCT..Sucks for how long?

What's up everyone;

Just finished my 1st ever cycle and totally hate myself on PCT lol. Energy blows, strength is dropping, just over-all feel like crap, which i assume is expected.

I know everyone is different so there is no real answer to this, but recovery time average would be how long after last pin? Will i feel better after PCT or will it still take time after that?

Cycle was 16 weeks Test-E @ 600mg a week, and 8 weeks of Anavar at 70mg a day.

Any input would be great, i know it's very "open-ended" since everyone responds differently but just heard you may recover a little more quickly if your cycle was really only Test.

I'd up the Nolva to 40mg the first two weeks and if sides are really bad, reduce clomid to 25mg the final 2wks. Clomid is the one that usually has the mental sides but your test levels are tanked too so that's another cause.

During PCT you should keep your food intake at least 200-300calories above TDEE (thanks for that 3J ;)) and lower the total volume of your training but keep intensity high. Meaning: do less sets and reps and total exercises but keep the big compound lifts and some assistance stuff like squats, deads, press, bench, shrugs, rows, etc and use more weight instead of more reps and sets. This should help with your strength declining.

As for training, you suggest leaning more toward a full strength routine, heavier weight 6-8 rep range, some what along those lines?

Good choice with 3J, I like hearing that bc I can expect results from you instead of hope for them lol. His dietary stuff is very very good.

Yes for clomid and Nolva go 40/40/20/20 or 40/20/20/20. 4wks is plenty and if you have gyno or flare ups you can extend it for those reasons. This basic cycle shouldn't need an aggressive post cycle therapy (pct). did you use HCG?

For training that's a huge yes. Lower the reps and sets, use more weight, and carefully pick the lifts you do. Your test levels are at their absolute lowest now so if you go volume crazy you'll not be able to recover and hi fader results. High intensity is better at maintaining muscle mass and strength than high volume so sacrifice one for the betterment of the other. Strength in regards to intensity is a better indicator of muscle mass retention than the amount of reps and sets of isolation movements you do.
 
Well i like strength training way more then volume so i have NO issues doing less sets and reps with heavier weight so that's a huge help.

I did not use Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) and the entire 16 week cycle i had no gyno or flare ups, no real sides at all other then oily shoulders. I am starting to get some acne on my chest though now, nothing crazy but wasn't there before. Aromatase inhibitor (AI) was Adex 0.25mg EoD and that has my Estrogen levels perfect, got bloods done at week 7.
 
Next time use HCG. It'll make for a faster and easier recovery. Everything else looks good and get bloods done ~6wks after PCT Completion to double check recovery.
 
PCT sucks :( ............ I am not looking forward to that day. I try to pretend it does not exist. Lol for some reason reading your post made me have a quick OH FUCK moment. Lol the reason why is I have been trying to ignore that PCT exists and not think about that it is approaching and your post reminded me the day will come and I will be the one writing how much I hate post cycle therapy (pct). And probably crying watching the Shawshank redemption or something like that.
 
It's the crashing down i don't like lol...It went from not waiting to get to the gym and try and hit PR's like daily, hitting back and chest twice a week, DOM's almost non-existent to sore everyday and lethargic lol

Blast n cruise next time!
 
Lol don't blast and cruise man. Trust me I deep down inside want to. But the vets on here who are on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) have opened my eyes to the fact that it is not all fun and games. I mean even pinning every week for the rest of your life could get old and fucked up quick. Just think about not having a choice to pin. It could actually start to fuck with you mentally after a while and be pretty hard to do.
 
True indeed, sounds awful but i'm hoping at 32 years old i may be able to blast & cruise for a year maybe try and PCT and hopefully recover. May not happen but that's my thought at the moment. 1 cycle right into PCT is terrible lol blast 4 months, cruise 2, blast 4 PCT something like that
