20 yo: My steroids story, questions, needing help

My story: I have been training with a bodybuilder for about 4 months (November - ) now.

I HAVE BEEN TRAINING FOR OVER TWO YEARS NOW. 4 MONTHS WITH THIS PARTICULAR GUY, A BODYBUILDER. BEFORE THAT, ANOTHER GUY, A PERSONAL TRAINER.

For the first three months, I only used bodybuilding supplements. We did talk about using AAS. But first he wanted me to get used to his level of hardcore exercise. I started using AAS the beginning of February. After only one and a half weeks, I stopped using AAS completely. My mother took me to a doctor to hear about the dangers of using AAS. I listened. The doctor told me to have blood tests done, which I did. The doctor said that if my all levels were in order, I could most likely complete my first cycle. It would be my choice whether or not I would want to complete it, though. Basically, the doctor's advice: stop immediately or wait until you're finished with your first cycle and then consider using AAS only when your natural testosterone levels have stabilized (late twenties, thirties).

I stopped immediately.

The blood tests showed all my levels to be in order, except for one: my thyroid. Right now, it is underactive. I do not show any symptoms of an underactive thyroid. I never have. I am skinny. I still have trouble gaining weight. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I emphasize the fact that I stopped using AAS immediately. No PCT. Nothing. The doctor wants to have blood tests done again, a month from now. Then we can see whether or not my thyroid activity will be back to normal, or not.

The bodybuilder says my cycle was a mild one. The doctor says it was a hectic one.

Please check it out.

Two injections per week:

- Primobolan
300 mg
one ml

- Sustanon 250
500 mg
one ml

- Boldenone
200 mg
half ml

One tablet per day:

- Arimidex
1 mg

- Turinabol
20 mg

Could it be that I have always had an underactive thyroid? Could my cycle really have caused an underactive thyroid (at least, temporarily)? In the future, could thyroid medication be combined with AAS to prevent an underactive thyroid?

If I am interested in bulking, should I rather consider using pro hormones? Am I too young to be using AAS? Will I totally screw up my testosterone levels if I use AAS at 20?

I am not going to lie to anyone of you. The idea of using steroids is tempting. It's an idea I fell for very quickly. It's an idea I snapped out of very quickly, as well. But I am also careful (and smart, at times). Now more than ever. Just tell me, are steroids, no matter what, just too dangerous to use at my age?

I hope to hear from you guys soon.

I appreciate your honesty, but you're going to get the same response that every other clueless, young moron gets when they post about their experiences.

1. You're too young to be using AAS, your natural test levels are high enough already.
2. WTF are you thinking taking AAS only 4 months after starting working out
3. If you want to gain weight, EAT MORE FOOD. Combine that with a good low rep / heavy weight routine.

U shouldn't be training with a bodybuilder right now anyways. Your not at that level. As far as first cycle goes, yea that's not a good first cycle. It would be mild compared to a bodybuilder, but a lil much to start with.

1. Thanks. That was my first and only concern as well.
2. I have been working out for more than two years now. I just replaced my personal trainer with a bodybuilder.
3. Great idea. It will take some getting use to, but definitely a better option than steroids.

I can't believe it. I actually thought I was good to go.

A wise, inteligent man would NOT put you on AAS after just 4 months! That's terrible, you might get some good advice from him regarding nutrition and training but damn man.. You are silly for listening to him and he is silly for convincing you to take that that early.. I would drop it, go naturally for some time, see how it goes.. It's too soon, learn from your partner about training and nutrition

Thanks for the reply. That's what I am doing right now.

TO EVERYBODY OUT THERE:
I just want to clear this up. I have been training for more than 2 years now. 4 months with this particular guy, a bodybuilder. Before that, another guy, a personal trainer.

I am not to sure on the throid issue; I have never heard of that being a problem from just a one-time semi mild cycle such as the one you listed. My take on the using AAS at such a young age is this:
If you have very good genetics, and plan on making a career out of something bodybuilding related, whether it be competing, personal training, or a fitness model, then yes, AAS is a good idea.
But what it looks like from your post, you need to quit. You're 136lbs? You need to be spending all your money on food, and reading all you can about nutrition. I myself started using at age 20, but I had serious goals and aspirations. I had already competed, won shows, and now I am a personal trainer working on competing more and using my body to help my career. Cycling on steroids for beach looks is silly in my opinion.

You are an idiot. He said in BOLD at the top of the page he had been lifting for over two years, not 4 months.

Thyroid issues are pretty common, it's very important you go to a good endocrinologist and figure out how to fix your thyroid issue. Do this before anymore cycles. If you end up taking thyroid med, its a hormone too and you dont want to be messing with more than one hormone at a time. Take this seriously. I too have an underactive thyroid, hyPOthyroidism and I've always been skinny as a rail. I had a goiter (adams apple) that was pronounced and thats often a dead give away that someone has a thyroid issue since thats where the thyroid gland is. In my case, my thyroid gland was overworked trying to produce enough T3 for the body which actually kept my metabolism higher than most people = skinny as fuck. I also run hot. So now I take T3 daily and my goiter is complete gone, I have a bit more energy and dont get quite as lethargic after I eat. And I've gained a modest amount of weight and muscle. But I'm 31 and fixed my thyroid issue 10 years ago and things are slowing down now. If I were you, I'd do post cycle therapy (pct) and fix your hormone issues first, get blood tests and once things are stable then you can return to your dreams of using aas at an early age. Be careful buddy.

I wanted to ask people about pro hormones. Do they work? Are they safe? If not, I'll go with loads of healthy food and bodybuilding supplements. I just want to know a bit more.
