225 for Reps

I feel like this is a pretty good judge of bench strength and endurance... And its fun to compare yourself to NFL players...

I am more into strength training, so I don't do this too often but I repped out 225 for 25 today at the end of all my bench training.

How many have you guy done? And we are talking touching our chest and coming to full lock out, none of this half rep shit.

Did 225 for 15 reps Monday don't like to do that many but felt good after 8 so kept goin just curious to what I could pump out

fk! bench is my weakest point (I think it might be due to my 6'2 height & long limbs) I can bench 225x6-8 but that's it and that's on gear! natty maybe 205x6-8 I can squat 345 x 8 though and that's usually 3rd-4th set, I usually do 225x12 245x10 315x8 345x8 245x10-12

How would I improve bench strength?

Same boat in that I'm 6'7". My bench went up a bit by working on triceps and delts a bit more as my chest is strong as hell, but those long triceps muscles don't like holding anything past 450lbs.

To the OP: I am not currently doing flat bench, but I did 225x15 tonight on incline before doing my negatives. 25 reps is respectable as hell imo.

i was not built for bench. short torso, long limbs. i can pull like a motherfucker and highbar back squat isn't too far behind. it's sad i can clean and jerk almost as much as i can bench! however i feel picking a weight off the ground and putting it over your head is a true testament to strength. however i am in awe of guys that can take a bar with 2 big wheels on each side and rep it out like no tomorrow....... unless of course your 1rm is 550+ then 225 for reps is no problem.

Same problem 6"3 and my weakest part is my bench but what's weird is my chest muscles are huge I struggle with 225lbs most I ever benched was 255 but I can curl like a motha fo

DAMN!!!
Maybe I don't need to juice after all. I've never been able to do a cycle. I squat 375x5, bench 275x5 and dead 315x6...6'2" 210lbs...

Sorry...but maybe you need to eat, sleep and lift 5x5 for a while before you stick urself again...

Got challenged by some young football guys on this last september, I did 18 reps at 197lbs clean he did 15, he's 240, he's 24 years old and I told him he had 23 year's to catch up. :)

I train a lot of dumbbells and can rep out about 6-8 of the 130's. last march I took the 125's and did a set of 12 and that was at the end of my chest work out. I'v got some 150's put to gether but still have not attemped them yet. I think im doing pretty good. Im 5'6 and 25 years old and bench 345 twice. Never been on any gear just steak and chicken with a good gainer and a pre-work out.

Chest is the bane of my existence!!! only 5'10" but have a 6'7" wingspan. :wallbash: Am working on it with a new routine and currently I am repping 225 8+ times.... Hopefully that changes soon!

ask board member trushot, if I recall he presses 225 for 48 reps... sick

put me down for the twenty-five
