23 - low testosterone - endo this week

Hi gentlemen,

I realise a lot of men on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) are not on it due to their own doing. I am not one of those men. I was young, stupid, and listened to the advice of a person that was hitting over 20ml of test a week. That is neither here nor there now and I am absolutely loosing my mind. I will post stats and BW below.

Prolactin: 181 mIU/L
FSH: 2 IU/L
LH: 5.5 IU/L
Testosterone : 6.8 nmol/L
B-12: 967 pmol/L
Red Cell Folate: 1071

Second blood test

Cortisol: 425 nmol/L (am ref. 120-620)(pm ref. 100-400)
Vitamin D: 33 nmol/L (51-200) low
FSH: 2 IU/L (<7) stayed the same
LH: 6.5 IU/L (<7) Raised by 1; just within range
OEST2: <70 (<150)
Total test: 5.5 nmol/L (8.3-29) dropped
SHBG: 24nmol/L (60-130) only thing that is 'within' range
Free test: 9.3 pmol/L (60-130) LOW, VERY LOW
Prolactin: 191 mIU/L (40-450)
TSH 2.5 mIU/L (0.5-4.5)

My last cycle consisted of 1750mg of test E a week for 12 weeks and dbols for the first 2 weeks. No HCG . I was one research chems for my last cycle consisting of Tamoxafin and Clomidaphine Citrate.

I did:

Day one: Clomid 300mg; Tamox 40mg
Day 2-14: Clomid 100mg; Tamox 40mg
Day 14-28: Clomid 50mg; Tamox 40mg

It is likely that my htpa is damaged. It has been over 8 months now since I cycled. I have just come across your forum now and I am absolutely stalking your threads because I think I will more than likely have to go on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). So my questions are:

1. Could any of you point me to any literature (studies) that I can show my endo to show superiority of injectable test to gel or patches (If I am to go on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) my preference would be injectable - In aus. they use Sustanon 250)

1.1. I'm only doing research on the use of HCG in conjunction with test now. Apart from forum support, are there any studies to show that this keeps the ledeg cells functioning and hence keep me fertile?

2. Do any of you think a successful restart consisting of HCG and Tore and Tamox would assist? (I may try this before anything else)

3. If there is any input you gents could give me, please, please give me a hand here.

Thank you guys and sorry for the large post - I guess this is my way of venting

Are you in Oz? If so (probably) you qualify for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), you can get Test E as easily as Sust, and you can't get HCG.

In my experience the more you learn, the more you can show your doctor that he can't bullshit you, and the more likely he is to do what you have learned is the right thing.

Thanks for your reply Big,

I'm stalking forums, pub med, absolutely anything I can get my hands on. But your right, I want to cut the bullshit as I have been losing my mind for a month now. I am in Oz, I was looking around and apparently some anti ageing clinics prescribe HCG, but I only saw this in passing a forum.

Do you think that taking testosterone with a possible Aromatase inhibitor (AI) (such as arimidex) will be sufficient to continue proper Spermatogenesis? Do you know if they prescribe anything to attempt to restart the feedback look between the hypothalamus and pituitary?

I would recommend posting in the anabolic steroid section of the forum .....may get more responses there...wish I had some advice for you.....goodluck man and keep us updated.

Check your PM. As for anti-aging clinics prescribing HCG - well, I have a scrip for it and I can't get it, so if you succeed please let us know. I got no joy from the anti-aging clinic that I spoke to - all they wanted to do was push T cream at an entry price of $3K. They had bloody aggressive phone salesmen too.

Im going to copy paste it now Mlitt, thanks heaps. I'll definitely keep this thread going to help someone that stumbles on this info.

Hey big,

I tried to PM you but I don't think I have the ability to PM anyone yet. Maybe Until I get 10 posts? I'm not sure how this forum works... I'll keep trying. Thanks heaps for the info though mate, it was really good of you! give me a bit to try figure out this PM thing

Big, this was my reply edited Dr's just in case you wanted to keep things private.

125mg of test a week with adex at 45mg and HCG would be my preferred testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), so something similar to yours. Have you noticed any infertility signals since the time you have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) mate?

Thanks for your advice on Dr ***, I find a lot of australians are hesitant to refer anyone to their Dr. With the amount of misinformation and lack of information out there - especially for us aussies - one would think we would be more inclined to help each other out. I'm going to see my endo this week, his name is Dr Hoffman. I can't find anything on him over the net, so I'm worried that he won't like the idea of 23 and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) within the same sentence.

I'll definitely ask mine about Hcg. I know a mate that lives about an hour away from me, he apparently gets hcg but its in the form of a nose spray... I don't know about that to be honest lol. I'll be in touch mate and update you on what my endo says in regards to hcg this week.

Might I ask you what you managed to say to your endo for him to actually be a bit more liberal in prescribing test injectables? Questions et cetera? I lead... well led... an active life, jujitsu, gym, and footy so I feel it is the most appropriate for me and I have only a hand full of studies that might be credible to him.

1750mg of Test a week.....that's crazy, and way overboard. I personally see no need in ever going over 800mg. Heck, for the majority of people, you can make the same gains with 400-500mg as 800-1000mg.

With that said, I hope you have good luck in finding a Dr. that he help treat you effectively.

Michael, where are you located? I might be able to help you out with referrals etc.

Hey Rasta, I live in Sydney around the Liverpool area... But if you could help me with a decent referral to someone that has experience in this area I would seriously be forever grateful mate. Everyone is very secretive about their protocols and Drs for some reason - its almost as if they have not heard of doctor patient confidentiality.

Tim, while I know that was a major contributor - if not the contributor - to the issue, that's not my problem at this moment. It happened, now its time to move forward, as hard as it may be.

But thank you for your kind wishes mate.

LOL! I've been chasing my wife around a lot, if that counts! As for infertility - um, let's just say that I have five kids already, so I know my balls used to work at least, but I'm 38 years older than you so it's not so much of a priority for me right now! (Though I would love more kids . . . )

Re another doctor: There's one on the North Shore - maybe around Pymble - who recently moved from canberra, and the compunding pharmacy in Canberra gave him a big rap. But I really don't think you need go past Dr Z, and he visits Sydney regularly.

Can someone recommend a good, knowledgeable doctor in the Sydney/Canberra region. Could really use some help, sick of seeing 'so-called' specialist and Gp's that have no clue.

If your doing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for replacement your dose is much different then for muscle development. You really need to seek proper medical advice from an expert and possibly continued care. Dr. Thomas O'Connor, metabolicdoc.com
