24 year old's testosterone: 461 ng/Dl

Hello everyone. I've been lurking in the forums for a little bit, so I thought this would be a good (or maybe not so good) post.

I have been feeling kind of depressed lately. Fatigued, apathetic...sometimes foggy. I talked to my doctor, and she said it may be a number of things including low testosterone. I had a blood test in the afternoon (I know most are in the morning), and for serum testosterone my level is: 461 ng/Dl.

I am a 24 year old male. I have a shoulder injury so I can't do as much in the gym as I normally do, but I squat, do weight pullups, etc. I eat very healthfully, I almost never drink alcohol, I don't heat up my food in plastic, and I use a stainless steel water bottle.

I was doing some research, and it seems like a 25 year old male should have a level of about 700 ng/dl. Should I be concerned? I have habits that should lead to high testosterone levels, but I'm on the lower end of normal...right?

Thanks

It does seem low. Natty levels can vary pretty widely if not done first thing AM as most of your body's test is made during REM sleep (so a good nights rest prior is also needed). I have friend that tested in the 300s mid afternoon and mid 500s early AM on another day.

I'd get another test in the AM before chasing after lifelong injections of artificial testosterone. Should also post more stats so the guys here can give more informed advice. Body weight. Prior use of aas or legal oral ph? Other test numbers such as tyroid, estrogens, shbg, lH etc etc

Thanks for replying so quickly!

Unfortunately I don't think they tested for those. We thought I might be diabetic, so we tested for blood glucose and some other stuff, lol...

I'm working on getting another blood test done in the morning sometime.

I am 24 y/o, 5'9", 190 LBS, 14% bodyfat. I almost never drink alcohol, eat very healthfully, I do not party, and do other things to raise testosterone like I said before.

I have never done any AAS or ph.

Another thing is that I am not very aggressive AT ALL. Perhaps another sign of low testosterone.

Sounds like you are making the right moves.

As far as aggression. I'm not aggressive at all an I have test levels in the 800-1000 range. I take risks and am agressive in "good ways" (competitive etc) but not negative ways (Ie I don't get worked up if I get cut offin traffic etc).

Thanks, I'm trying.

I'm meeting with my doctor to discuss the results next week, and then hopefully have a morning blood test.

Since my T levels are lower, but not extremely low, perhaps I could give a testosterone booster?

I will be very interested to see the AM levels, try to get solid 8hrs sleep the night before.

Lots of decent natty boosters and natty Aromatase inhibitor (AI) out there yes. ESP if you are 550-600ish when you retest.

So I have been reading on some different forums about testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), as I have just started doing injections.
After reading somethings on one forum I became very concerned with what im getting into.

First of all let me give some background. Im 24 5'10" 190lb muscular build but a bit of excess fat. I suspected my test levels were low for several reasons. First, a few years ago I took a supplement called tren xtreme, you may have heard of it. Anyways, when I took this I was told that it was just a dietery supplement and not informed that it was a full on pro hormone. So of course, I experienced a lot of the adverse effects of taking it, such as mild gyno. I also have many of the other symptoms of low test, such as fatigue and mild depression. I haven't really noticed a huge change in sex drive or performance though.

So I had my levels checked and they where in the high 300's to low 400's. My Dr started me on fortesta which didn't help so she switched me to injections, which I started last week. My concern is with my estrogen levels and fertility. After reading some things, I am surprised that my Dr doesn't also have me on an estrogen blocker and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), as that seems to be standard for my situation.

I will get some more info on my levels etc.. once I talk to my Dr but im hoping for any advice on what I should do or what I should ask my Dr to do specifically.

2v824, you'd get a better response if you took the time to start your own thread.
Thread jacking is looked down on.
