2nd thoughts about jumping on, High BP

Just ordered my gear and was about to start and thought I'd check my BP before I start, as I've had a mild high BP before, much to my suprise I was 157/75. This has me a little concerned, as Im only 27 years old, and I'd hate to think what this figure could jump to when on cycle.

So I've decided to postpone until I can get the numbers down a little, going to try some of the stuff I've seen on the boards here i.e - Hawthorne Berries, Red Yeast rice, and coq10, but I must admit, am a bit skeptical on how much this will help.I would also like to try get my hands on some Lisinopril.

Do you guys think that BP is a concern, and more so too high to jump on a cycle? My Original Cycle was going to be 600mg/wk Test-E + 400mg/wk of EQ and I have Arimidex which I was going to take at .25 EOD to start off with to keep the water off, hopefully keeping the BP down. Do you think it would make a big difference to my BP if i ditched the EQ and just ran another Test only cycle?

This will be my third cycle, been training on and off for 10 years, 27 yo 6'2" , 210lbs probally 12%Bf. I eat relativly clean and have had blood sugar and cholestorol tested and both are in check.

i had high BP before i start my cycles and i had to get my BP Meds increased to keep it under control,my last cycle was test/deca,and my BP averaged 117/78 throughout the cycle, but ihad to watch it close

Elevated BP is the scariest side of AAS for me. I hate the way it feels. I normally have great BP. On my last cycle, when I felt symptoms of HBP, I immediately cut all salt out of my diet... I wouldn't even touch prossessed food or fast food... It fixed the problem quickly. So my advice to you, before you start gulping down suppliments, is to clean up your diet... I think you'll be amazed at the difference. And consult a doctor, high BP might be a cronic, lifelong condition for you. Learn to manage it now, while you're young.

How many times did you check it? i have a home BP monitor and sometimes when i run up the stairs and go check it its high like 150/85. But if I sit on my bed for like 2 minutes silently ill take it and it will be down to like 130/80. Literally everything can screw with blood pressure readings.

I would get it in check though before you start a cycle.

Thanks for the input. It is a pretty sketchy situation, they don't call it the silent killer for nothing. I'm absolutely gutted that I can't start my cycle but at the same time glad I checked it out. It's prettys consistent between 150 and 160 / 70-80, that's resting.

from what ive learned anything 140 or higher on top is too high, esp if you plan to cycle

good call bro, you would be crazy to get on a cycle knowing your bp was 157/75, your diastolic isnt bad tho.... ya try those natural supps along with a really clean, well rounded diet. those supps have lots of studies to back them up. in fact red yeast rice contains the original statin drug "lovastatin" anyway, if u wanna get your hands on some bp meds or Lisinopril, its as simple as asking your dr. as soon as he sees your bp he may put u on a med. in fact u should tell him that u are gonna go on a cycle because the first course of action a dr will (or should take) with a young guy like yourself will be change of diet/exercise. so given u are on aas, he will have to put u on a med because you are not even "on" yet & its high. so given that its already high, it could be a condition already. i think it is for me because ive been off of gear for over a year & my bp has consistantly been about 140/90. in fact i remember back when i was 19 and going to my dr & my bp was about the same too, w/ no gear a lean 185lbs, competitive swimmer. anyway, control that BP bro!
