49...Menopause workouts weight training

I'm 49 and a 2 time cancer survivor. I have been on a diet and exercise program for quite a while not seeing the results I want..body building and gaining muscle and toning seems to be the advice I have been getting. My question: Should I start a program to help boost my workouts? Getting married in July..want toned not buff. Thanks!

First off congrats on beating cancer twice !
Post your stas & what your diet & routine looks like ? Are u doing any strength training now ? If not, u should consider it, since it will help u build muscle & the more muscle u have the better "engine" you have to burn calories more efficiently... Having a solid diet & excercise routine will get u where u want to be.
