5 lawsuits, TRT linked to heart attack

If they would just stop pushing gels/creams that would make a huge difference. Stick with tried and true injections.

And is it really that hard to learn how to manage hematocrit and estradiol? Donate some blood and keep estradiol in line by either using an AI or keeping your test dose low enough to not have too much aromatization.

Like how they put blam on steroids once again
Like u said mag, the gel and cream is bs, seems docs push that stuff on everybody now
Big time in canada gel and cream, obviously everywhere

My pops gets androgel. I tried to explain to him that this whole gel/cream technology is new. I told him he was a lab rat for taking it (of course my father's physique blows mine away at the ripe age of 64... Im 38). Told him he should stick to the old fashion way that we all know has been tried and proven. Pin it!!!

The little amount of knowledge that most doctors have is embarrassing.

What a fuckin joke!!! This kind shit makes my blood boil, the fuckin ignorance of our government. This has nothing to do with dudes having heart attacks from TRT. How many people die from liver failure due to alcoholism, or run over a pedestrian because they were driving drunk, or how many women get abused cause they drunk loser partner? Does the Government ban or make the consumption of alcohol illegal? NO. And how many people die from lung cancer from smoking or get COPD due to smoking? Are cigarettes ever gonna be banned, I fuckin doubt it.

A couple guys die from a heart attack that were on TRT and holy fuck, testosterone is the devil and will make you die if you take it, fuck that noise. How do we know that these individuals were drunks or smokers, or even lived a healthy lifestyle whatsoever? what they are trying to prove here is so flawed it not even funny.

"It found that men aged 65 and older were twice as likely to suffer from a heart attack after filling a testosterone therapy prescription" what a crock of shit, men that are 65 and older are more likely to have a heart attack no mater what they do, it s called old age!!!

It also found that younger men had three times the risk if they had a family history of heart disease. There was no additional risk found in younger men without that type of medical history. And what is that supposed to mean? what does this have to do with anything? NOTHING

Go ahead drink up, smoke up, hell go ahead and smoke crack, but your going to burn in hell if you use steroids!!!!

What a joke, were allowed to poison ourselves with a substance, but god forbid we use one to better ourselves, fucking sad man.

I don't understand how the FDA can putout these studies when they were AGAINST the banning of steroids in the 90's.

I'm wondering if in 65 year olds getting some test going, first thing you 'll do is get more active, wondering how much a new exercise routine comes into play at that age or maybe even beginning to walk a little lol

Exactly, i highly doubt, TRT caused the heart attacks, id love to see these individuals lifestyle, diet, excersise. Were they smokers? Drinkers? Overweight?

"It found that men aged 65 and older were twice as likely to suffer from a heart attack after filling a testosterone therapy prescription"

^^^ if you look at just this sentence the only difference is the TRT regimen. I'm not agreeing with them necessarily but I believe it has caused enough concern in some ppl to justify an investigation to see whether true or not. I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

I totally see what your saying, but thats a broad statement, they are putting every male over the age of 65 in the same category here.

Is a healthy, strong, fit 65yo male twice as likely to have a heart attack the same as an unfit, unhealthy 65yo male after filling a TRR script.

They didnt even say these males started TRT all they said is they filled the script haha, thats hardcore!! Soon as they fill the script there in danger, thats hardcore hahaha :p

No definitely not brother but I think what they're saying or trying to figure out is "all other variables being held constant, does the inclusion of a TRT program in someone's life increase the risk of a heart attack". That's what I think they're trying to figure out and if it does own out as accurate then it is something we should all be made aware of. As it stands now, they have no conclusion or concrete evidence showing a cause/effect relationship so it's all conjecture. Couple that with how the media sensationalizes stories to boost viewer ratings and we have this situation. I saw this on another forum I believe and the story had no links to any types of studies or references. I emailed the author to get his references and still waiting to hear back :)

Thats what im talking about right there my man!!

I do agree if there is in fact a link between TRT and heart failure then we should be made aware without a doubt, but is seems everyone wants to put a bad name on something that an individual chooses to do to improve his quality of life, in this case Testosterone.

Unfortunately, the professional world does not reward GOOD studies but rather those that make the biggest splash.
Sensationalism is what makes the biggest splash, news stations have gone from reporting what happens to reporting hype & raising alarm. Doing so gets people promotions & more $$.

What we ultimately need is to have politicians put proper incentive systems into place.
Great video on it here, dumbed down for us "laymen" (part 1 of 3), highly recommend to anyone who wants to see bullshit like this disappear: Extra Credits: Incentive Systems and Politics (Part 1) - YouTube

fuuuck I just started reading the study again and got about 5 min in, thought I'd double my dose of test/deca ;) Nice knowing ya guys, quality over quantity I always say, burn the candle at all 3 ends lol

ok so wiki defines this:
Myocardial infarction (from Latin: Infarctus myocardii, MI) or acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is the medical term for an event commonly known as a heart attack. It happens when blood stops flowing properly to part of the heart and the heart muscle is injured due to not receiving enough oxygen. Usually this is because one of the coronary arteries that supplies blood to the heart develops a blockage due to an unstable buildup of white blood cells, cholesterol and fat. The event is called "acute" if it is sudden and serious.

so according to this study then, the increased testosterone caused (usually) a blockage due to unstable buildup of white blood cells, cholesterol and fat.

I'm gonna go back to my first assumption that these guys feel stronger and start doing more even if it's taking the stairs instead of an elevator, having sex, etc.... causing an increase in the blood flow which contributes to or causes the plaque in the arterial walls to loosen and clog up at a restricted point.

25 percent on men on trt are not getting any blood work done at all or monitoring. That's all coming out of that study. How the hell do you go on trt and not monitor blood?
What other health issues are being missed with that kind of half assed medical care.
Now a bunch of money hungry people file law suits because of half assed report to being with... It's bs and we will all pay the price for it.
