Here's my story as short as I can make it. I used to be fat (215 lbs) and now I'm skinny (160 lbs) Took me 6 months, a ton of cardio, and a horrible diet but it worked. Recently, I have been working on my abs. About 2 and a half weeks ago I decided I needed abs for the summer and started doing sit-ups, crunches, and other ab workouts. I had worked them out a little bit before now but not much at all so I don't expect huge results very quickly. The problem is that I am skinny but I still have some fat and loose skin around my lower stomach. I know it will take a while for amazing abs and I can already see results but what can I do to get rid of that little bit of fat??

I believe I have a solid ab workout: I do my ab lounge for 5-10 minutes, then regular, side, and lower ab crunches/leg lifts for 8-10 minutes. I do that 2 days then rest for one.

My diet isn't amazing but I don't eat fast food and rarely overeat. (probably undereat if anything)

Yes, I know total body fitness is the key but my only questions pertain to abs right now. What do you guys think? Thanks for the input in advance.

They only way to bring out your abs is to have have a low enough bodyfat (usually around 10% they start to come out). More diet and cardio unfortunately :)

I work abs with weights. The abs are muscles just like the quads. I hit them with weight and that helps them pop out even with a little more bf on them.

But the path to abs is not just working them with weight, it is primarily with diet. Cardio doesn't hurt at all either, but to really get them shredded, you have to nail down the diet 100%. That does not mean under eating either. It means getting enough of the right things and none of the wrong things. It means getting the right amount of proteins/carbs/fats, and getting the carbs/fats from the right sources.

ive heard doing weighted abs makes them look "Puffy" like stick out on the side.

I used to do them and it seems like " I have a beer belly" but I still have a six pack...

Whats the deal I stopped doing them so long ago... What should I do maybe more lower abs or what? Ive never really dieted or anything although I do bust my ass all the time in the weight room on the field, etc.... I know its mainly genetics because I have always been strong and ripped my whole life. I have never cycled yet am most likely going to this summer. I am trying to put on about five more pounds before I start the cycle in a month plus.
