I was reading some other posts and saw somebody saying basically that we don't absorb all the protein we consume.

I mean obviously there's protein in our urine etc.. SO it makes me wonder how much of the protein I consume daily is getting aborbed..

I'm considering buying something like this.. but does anybody know if it would be a waste?

If the rest of us thought something like that would help, then I'm guessing we would all be using it. But we don't.

I wouldn't worry too much about how much protein you do or don't absorb.

ive been taking NOW super enzymes for a few months now, and I have not noticed the slightest hint that im taking anything....no digestion changes (going by feel here), no bowel issues, no nothing. Im not going to be buying them again.

Interesting. thanks for the input

I take Bromelin, Ginger Root, and Acidophilus w/ Pectin to help with digestion. I have noticed:

- Less gas
- Less frequent bowel movements (down to 2-3 times per day.. was around 4-6 prior)
- Feeling "empty" after a trip to the toilet
- No more loose stool

Thats not really true. Protein is not normally in our urine. The kidney is supposed to keep large molecules, such as protein, in the blood and only filter out smaller impurities. Even if small amounts of protein do get through, they are normally re-absorbed by the body and used as a source of energy.
So if protein is showing up in the urine, its usually a sign that theres kidney disease of failure.

All different.
I hit up Puritan.com when they had a buy 2 get 4 free sale. I pucked up $300 of vitamins and other supps at the time and ended up with over 30 bottles in my basement :D

My digestion is all f'ed up. I could eat lettuce and if I went to the can there would be pieces of lettuce in the toilet. I basically wasn't digesting all of my food.

I have been taking these since Xmas time and this no longer happens and as per my previous post, my trips to the toilet have been more successful, LOL.

thats big right there. protein farts are the number one killer of small house pets and goldfish.

All Protein Is Different. Some Protein Is More Bioavailable Than Others. This Protein Is Much Better Absorbed By The Body And Includes Foods Such As Eggs And Chicken. If You Want To Be A Fucking Badass Like Me, Eat Eggs And Chicken Until You Bloat.
