AAS turning you in a hairy gorilla? Anyone try laser hair removal?

I’m a pretty hairy guy to begin with - as I age / use AAS it’s getting worse and in the wrong places (back, upper arms).

Anyone try laser hair removal for the back area? The clinic I use for TRT also does laser hair removal. I’ve done a bunch of research on the topic and looking for firsthand experience.
Please comment, but from my research it looks like:

1. Whole back will cost around $1,000 for up to 4-5 treatments totally remove all hair.
2. New back hair may / will sprout over time and a follow-up visit may be required.
3. May be a little pain. The laser feels like a rubber band being snapped on our skin.
4. Anything else?

Hair just comes with being a mang !! Grab some clippers if you don't like it though...way cheaper. My thought...

I plan on getting lazer hair removal but just on my balls.....have cut myself too much times trying to shave there...

But the rest of my body is not hairy

I have done it. $3000 later and I am back to the razors again. They told me that after 9 sessions I would be hair free and will only need to go there for touch ups. Well 12 full sessions later and no signs of slowing down. Not to mention the pain and the breaking out. NEVER AGAIN !! Save your money !!
PS: Have a pic right after my session. Check it out...

I just wax full body every 2-3 months. Costs $100-150.

After a year or two then you only need to wax every 6 months.

I use a razor every week combined with clippers for the back. I tend to get a little "prickly" by the end of the week, but it's pretty easy and cheap. I will probably look into waxing eventually as Onk mentioned; but not a big fan of laser as I've heard of plenty of dissatisfied customers like Transporter.

Holy crap! That is bad. 12 sessions? That is insane. From the research I've done ~4 should do it. Was that breakout on every part of your body or is the skin in that area just that sensitive?

It looks like you had this done on your neck? what other body part(s) did you laser?

I just use clippers/razors once a week. Take half hour and its done, easy does it. I do my whole body though. Arms, legs, everything. My back doesnt get much hair. But i for sure get more hair growth and faster hair growth when I run Tren :)

I have been trying to build up confidence to go to one of those. It's just that most places are 99% female customers so ya.....

AverageMan,

Yes the break out was just like the above pic on every part that I had done. It will go away in about 2-3 days. It was one of the most painful things I have ever had to go through. ( Gotten stabbed in the past just for a reference ) I did part of my neck, whole back/shoulders and my biceps. Just like Halfwit, I now am back to razors. Wish I could have saved my 3k and bought razors instead. They would have lasted me a life time :(

I had my back done. Didn't break out that much and it does feel like rubber bands. If your real hairy, it will take 10 sessions and you will still have hair. I guess it did cut the amount by half though. It does seem to grow back slower when your doing treatments. Its not permanent or 100% hair free, don't fall for that.

I had my wife do my back today. Holy lord! That's the worst pain I've felt in a while. I will try to stick with it and maybe take a bunch of Advil or Tylenol prior to next go around. I hear it gets easier too. I sure hope so.

my hair and finger nail s grow like MAD so

I got me a 1 dollar wooden sauce spoon about 12 -14 inches long and took a Gillette Mach 3 and used Gorrilla duct tape..it settled in nicely to the spoon part and I switch blades 1 or 2 a month..but that s euro trash engineering...took a paint stick, a 5 dollar sideview mirror u glue on your car when they get cracked, super glued , used a folded up wash cloth to make it look down a little, mount wear I can see my back...get down it...

total cost not counting razors 10 bucks-flawless results

Shaving doesn't sound appealing as it will only come in thicker and have stubble. Waxing whole body?! oh man. As hairy as I am, I break out for days and look like the pics of Transporter's neck. Not to mention it hurts like hell.

It's disappointing to hear about the laser hair removal lack of effectiveness and long lasting effects. With the number of laser clinics around town I would expect to hear something more positive.

don't get people's aversion to waxing whole body takes 45 mins to an hour, depending on how much you talk. Sure it hurts a bit...but if your waxer is good they teach you how to stretch your skin and hold it tort. After that it's a breeze. They usually sell a $10 ethanol spray that you apply 2x a day if you start to break out. Make sure not to sweat too much for the next few days and you're all sorted!

Honestly, I go to a salon in the gay district of my city. There's PLENTY of other places, but these guys and girls do it best. They're thorough professionals so their gender and sexuality don't worry me. You just talk (or not) like you would going to get your hair cut. First time was hardest. Now you just walk in, get naked and it's done so quickly!

Also, my girlfriend has been getting it done since 18ish. She's 1/2 my size. If she can do it, I CAN!

PIP is 10x worst then waxing

That's a myth. Growing back course hair only occurs by plucking the hair out and damaging the follicles. Diet and hormones impact the rate, not the method in which it's removed. ;)

^^^^^^^^^^^^^Agreeed...more food, more gear...more hair and nail growth for me....pain but as I m of Nordic euro trash it s fair hair and after I do my back feel s so nice
