Abs

I train my abs Tues, Thurs, and sat, is that to much per week?

If you use weight resistance when training them it may be. If you are still very sore when you train them again, I'd say yes.

I do not use weight resistance when training my abs so I tend to recover more quickly and can train them more often. Bringing in my abs is about 90% diet and maybe 10% training.

I'd say no. You leave rest days in between...which is good. Abs tend to recover quicker unless you are using insane weights.

I train my abs once per week, just like any other body part. this is enough for keeping them solid and defined. diet is what will remove the fat and give you the 6-pack look.

If you want to strengthen your core and increase your big three lifts, you better use weights with abs. I suggest twice a week.

I don't see going more than 3 times a week doing much for your abs. Like Swell said, if your going for strength I would cut back.

you almost certainly train your abs every time your in the gym anyway, as they are activated in pretty much every bodyweight bearing movement you do. Isolating them every day is a different (and stupider) kettle of fish.

Exactly. Abs get a lot of work when squatting, deadlift and benching. Isolating them more than 3 times is probably useless. I would only do them twice.

can't you train abs and calves everyday?
I never have been able to (especially calves)
That's another one of the Joe Weider myths :) You may be able to do it for awhile but will overtrain them just like any other muscle if you do it too long.
