how much does accutane cost in australia, and does it get rid of pimples for ever?
so i want to get accutane to get rid of pimples... question is how long should u run it for, and does it actually stop u from getting pimples for the rest of ur life? even while on juice? cus i got told this... thats pretty impressive if it does.

and also do u know how much it costs in australia to get it.

bro if your acne is really that bad then go see a doctor and get it. everyone i know thats taken it has had a doc monitor them the entire time they were on it. getting bloodwork regularly to make sure everything is ok.

my acne got bad and yeah i wish i could just take something and never have it come back but accutane is pretty harsh and my acne isnt that bad where i am willing to take that risk.

what other options have you exhausted before turning to accutane?

everything else is garbage compared to accutane so why use it..? and accutane will get rid of them 4 goood... which is wat i want lol i dont wanna be using crap pimple creams that dont work for the rest of my life...

Accutane IS the best acne fighting medicine on the market.
It WILL get rid of your acne.
It will NOT get rid of it forever, they say 1-3 yrs which is pretty accurate as mine didnt come back for yrs even through cycles.
Run it fox six months, no less.

to do it somewhat safely without a dr start with 20mg a day for a month, then 30mg for a month, then stick with 40-50mg for the rest of your 6 month cycle. Get the most expensive medicated chap stick you can possibly find as your lips will be chapped the FUCK up!

so it only stops acne for 1-3 yrs... then it will come back again????

That depends on the person himself. there're a huge majority of people who don't experience anymore problems after running through accutane (under careful analysis and monthly checkups by your dermatologists). Some see an improvement but have to extend the length of their treatment. and a very small percentage get hit quite badly by side effects and thus aggravates the existing acne (for some reason i cannot understand why, probably runs along the genetic/cellular level)

Personally i'm on accutane, 20mg a day. i've been on a 8 month treatment and it is coming to an end quite soon. people around me do say that my skin has drastically improved, although my lips do dry and crack if i don't apply lip balm throughout the day. Acne spots have reduced to either normally healthy skin, or just brown spots (it's just a pigmentation problem, though it's better than having acne scars at least) which is, as explained by my specialist, very normal.

I swear accutane's probably the most powerful nuclear weapon you could use against cystic acne or anything that's rampaging your skin. but you should make sure you drink enough water (even more than you usually would even on a cycle) and that you're getting sufficient nutrients from your food. also, avoid fish oils and pure Vitamin A sources, unless it's a multivitamin with has the usual RDA dosages (which aren't high enough to jeopardise your accutane dosages)

i hope this reply has helped you, though i can't say for sure how much accutane costs in your country, but it's always best to get it via a dermatologist.

lonewofl, ive never heard of a DR prescribing accutane for longer than 6 months.. I know people have legally been prescribed it and they say NEVER exeed 6 months at a time... Also, your acne would have been gone alot sooner if you were running more than 20mg lol.. My cousing dr prescribed her 80mg per day, even the 40mg I advised op to take is low to average.. 20 is too low to run forever.

i've ran fine on 20mg and i've seen noticeable effects. the dosage varies from a person to another and it also depends on severity. if you happen to respond very well to the treatment there's no reason they should increase dosage because of the side effects faced (although personally i haven't actually heard anyone facing any severe effects from accutane consumption).

my doc initially let me run it at 20mg for a month or 2. i went for a liver test after that and he said that my liver values were fine, so he decided to put me on the actual course of 6 months. besides, common gauging of dosages come along the lines of 1mg/kg, so i doubt it's actually a good idea for the doc to be letting me run 80++ mg for 6 months straight out without determining whether my body responds well to the accutane.
