Thanks for the advice Jim, I really misunderstood how the AI works, but have been reading more. From reading posts in forum i think I got it. Let me know if I'm right or wrong. Taking AI on the day of injection will help stop conversion of Test to Estradiol when the test is highest in my body (within 48 hours of injection). After that, an AI might not be needed because i have less test so less conversion would happen. Since I inject once a week, I should just take the does on that day or the day after to manage for the week. Also, from what you said I should stop all AI first? Can I just start the 1/8 or 1/4 on my injection day or will levels just stay low because they are already low? I guess the reason I say that, is I won't know when it creeps up? I just had a blood test and I'm not due for another 3 months now.
You are headed in the right direction for sure! Everyones dose is different, so you can really only guess at first, then adjust with feel/bloodwork as time goes on.
If you don't stop the AI all together for a week or two, and just start on your new dose, it will take longer for your estrogen levels to rise out of the dumpster, that's all. You aren't going to kill yourself, but it will take longer to get to your steady state... whatever that is.
The AI you are using, Arimidex/anastrozole works like you stated... basically stops conversion (bind to the aromatase enzyme). Its the most popular, but takes some time to adjust since there is somewhat of a delay. Another, lesser used, mostly due to extremely high price, is Aromasin/exemestane. Similar result, but different mechanism in that Aromasin actually binds to the estrogen itself. Sometimes dosed more frequently, and works amazing, but rarely covered by insurance in men. So guys resort to their own means of getting it.
So for you, with Arimidex, you are taking the small sliver of a tab around the time you inject. As testosterone levels increase, less will be converted to estrogen. Near the tail end of your shot, the effectiveness of the Arimidex will have weened off, but so will that surge in testosterone so for most guys, it works out great.
Whatever you do, just stick with it long enough to really know the results. Unless you are developing gyno or something wild, there is no reason you can't stick with a dose for a month to feel it out.
Not trying to be funny, but don't chase and make adjustments daily based on boner status.
