Hello all! First post :)

Well how about I start by telling a little about myself. Im an 18 year old male, 5,11'' and about 130lbs. I would like to reach 150 by Jan. I have attempted working out before but didnt feel any noticable affects, probably due to the fact that I work out in my basement and am probably doing everything wrong. All I have going for me are a set of wieghts(dumbells) and a benchpress. Right now I have purchased a 2.7 kg tub of "BioX Xtreme Power Meal". It tastes like crap. Is there any sort of recipe I can use to stomach this shit?

So I completely understand that this forum probably recieves newB mposts like this everyday. I just need a fresh start in my life and I thought a good way was to get in shape. Thanks to anyone who replies! It means alot.

First you need to pay attention to your diet, you need to eat more and get more protein in your diet. Start with basic movements, in fact only do 3 exercises squats, deadlifts, and bench progressively add more weight. Consider joining a gym and do not be afraid to ask for help. Do not worry about supplements until you get a decent diet going, if you are not lactose intolerant start drinking more milk--drink whole milk you need to put on some weight.

Exercise burns calories, it does not cause weight gain. Excess calories, cause weight gain.

This is a game of consistency and persistence. Count your calories EVERY DAY. In a world where people can be full grown adults and weigh in at 137 pounds to later weigh in at over 300 muscular pounds, you CAN do it if you WANT IT.
