I am 35 year old female. I have been in the military for 15 years. However, with that said I was in a car accident and not able to exercise for 6months. I put on alot of weight. I am 5'7 and I weigh 180 pounds. I have never been in a position to have to lose weight....I have always maintained. I want to get in the best shape of my life. I am able to workout again with no restrictions. I am ready to make some big changes. I just don't know where to start. I have been told 10mg/day of anavar would do the trick. That is all I have been told. I don't want to be a body builder or put on size... I want obtain very little body fat and not look very masculine. I know I'm asking alot. Could anyone here give me starting points on anavar, diet, and exercise? I humbly ask for any help. Thank you so much in advance.

Oh, I didn't realize you had a thread up already.

For starters, whomever told you that anavar would do the trick is full of shit. There isn't a shortcut unfortunately, although there are tools available to help make things more efficient. Anavar is NOT one of those tools as it may exhibit fat loss properties, but those properties are GREATLY exaggerated.

The very first thing you need to look at is your diet. If your diet isn't up to snuff, neither will your results be. This is the single most important factor of any body recompositioning bar none. I strongly recommend you spend some time in the diet forum and soak up as much knowledge as possible. Having been in the military (thanks for your service!) likely means that you have the discipline to follow what you learn. If you can get that part nailed down, the rest will be a piece of cake.

If you want to have a professional take care of this for you, 3J (the resident nutritionist) is more than capable of attending to this task. I learned a great deal from him, and I know many others have as well. You can find him in the diet forum as well.

Are there any specific questions you have regarding exercise? It's quite a broad topic, so without any specific areas you feel you're lacking knowledge in, it's difficult to answer.

As far as putting on too much size; I hear this a TON from both females and males starting out. The simple truth is that you have to have three basic components to do this: eat to become huge, have the proper hormone profile to become huge, and train to become huge. It cannot happen on accident, nor will it happen on a small course of anavar (when/if you're ready for that step). It can only be achieved by working at becoming that way deliberately. :p

Hopefully that gets you started as it appears you have quite a journey ahead of you. The best piece of advice I can give is to be persistent AND consistent. If you burn out, and take a day off - that's fine, just get back up again and hit it hard the next day. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that you have to wait for the stars to align perfectly before you can start up again - as they won't.

Just to restate a little of what halfwit said - never worry about putting on too much size. If it was that easy you had to work to NOT put on too much size, there would be a lot more huge men out there. :)

Your fitness goals are 80% diet, 15% exercise, and only a scant 5% gear / genetics. Gear is used only when you reach the point where diet and exercise alone are not enough and your genetics are what is holding you back. They allow you to push past the genetic barrier to a degree. But unless your diet is good, you will fail. You can never out exercise or out gear a bad diet.
