Anybody worry about the longterm effects of an AI while on TRT?

Had gyno removed recently from idiotic cycling i did in my early 20's and now going on doctor prescribed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but hating the fact that i may have to take a small dosage of Aromatase inhibitor (AI) (aromasin) for the rest of my life to keep gyno from every coming back. I worry about the longterm side effects of using an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). I honestly considered using a product such as ERASE as i hear its quite effective. Anybody have any opinions or feedback on this? Thanks for any input.

if your keeping it at healthy levels id say your mostly good. but who know long term effects of non stop use. nothing bad sofar (besides dropping estro to low).
I take STANE or Letro with my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) also sometimes. you can look into some herbs. even redwine supossedly will lower estro also. there are a few things otu there you can try

who knows long term.....my goal is to wean off my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) completely too but i'm still dialing in my protocol. So need some more time and blood tests to see how it goes. I'm very close though with my current protocol and I feel great. I have been able to lower my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) to .25mg twice weekly by changing from a weekly pin to two pins a week. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hey thanks for the responses guys.

Juiced Porkchop: Thanks for the ideas. I will look up some herbal ways and such to see what i can do to keep from using Aromatase inhibitor (AI) non stop all the time.

mlitt12345: You make some good points about pinning twice per week as opposed to only once. I was going with just once but after hearing what you said i may need to do twice if you thihnk it will help with keep estro down. Looks like ive got some reserach to be doing. By the way, what days are you going with injections and how far spread apart? What dosage you using per week and where is it keep your blood levels? Thanks!

I would say everyone is different and you are going to have to find your sweet spot.....that may be e5d ......e7d......or twice a week. If you do decide to pin twice a week then you need to be ready to pin in different spots. I rotate my pins between glutes, delts and quads giving me 6 spots to pin. My current protocol is Mon and Thur 100mg test cyp Tues and Fri 350iu's HCG and .25mg twice a week AI.....my latest blood test my T was around 1187 and my E was at 25........I feel great with this protocol and would say I'm pretty close to dialed in.

that is certainly a good t level and estrogen level there. Thanks for te input man!

theguy9129: I was wondering same thingabout HCG use too i guess so good question

Will add that there is a lot of short term studies that prove it helps secondary hypogonadism...which I have been diagnosed as having...but honestly for the long haul who knows what risks would be involved if any....I will tell you it gives me a sense of well being and keeps my nuts nice and plump and I plan on keeping it in my protocol.

agreed. depends. on my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) i just take 1 shot a week fo teste, cyp or sust (depends as i usually have teste or omnadren250) but on cycle I do and rec 2X a week.
if you dont doubling the amount of your shots do 2X a week. I think 1 is anought. but I WOULD NOT rec 2 or 3 weeks liek some doc's seem to do.. just too long inbetween shots.

what about long term use of HCG

I would NOT rec that long term. too much or abusing it could damage you for good. even LONG steroid cycles would not do that the way HCG possibly can.

If you want to bring size back because you care or feel it is an issue then every 2-3 months do 1 month of HCG at 500iu 2X a week.

I would not take it indeff. just as needed.

Interesting protocol. Have you tried that yourself? The Endo I saw a couple of days ago was def against HCG and Aromatase inhibitor (AI). I understood why she'd be against an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) but should have asked her about HCG. I am currently at 250iu's x2 a week but only been on that for a week. Before I was on 500iu's 2x a week.

When I asked the Endo if my balls would grow back after/if they have shrunk when on HCG she said possibly but most likely not to the their original full size. I was wondering how true is that for most people? I'm 31 and I'd like to keep 'em around for at least another 10-15 years :)

OK, can I assume from this your Endo was totally aware of your E levels and took an informed decision that you don't need an AI? Or is she acting in total ignorance?

First time ever at an endo's office. She only looks at my labs prior to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). He wants to take a new set of labs in about 3 months. She wanted me to use androgel which I disagree with so I'll play the game for a bit and let her know I prefer T shots. Regardless she is not going to prescribe me with anything but T. It sucks having to go from doctor to doctor to find a good one since each visit to me is 45 bux of copay.
