Anyone eat cottage cheese ?

cottage cheese is an EXCELLENT source of casein protein(slow absorbing). Perfect choice before bed! Its also contains a good deal of calcium, but keep in mind that if you are taking ZMA supplement before bed, cottage cheese would not be a good choice as a pre-bed meal, as the calcium hinders the effects of the zinc and magnesium.

I buy the low sodium organic type..just me.. the low fat regular type is fine, im just not as fancy to the taste.

Christ I buy 4 large tubs a week !!!Its some of the best protein there is.
Like atherjen said this is the best choice of a protein for before bedtime !
 
Love it, I buy the low fat with chive and toasted onion... tastes great!

One tub a day ! mostly before bed

Its good for all these reasons plus it tastes great, believe me... It may not look edible at first but fater you try it you will down it by the spoonful.
 
i eat non fat cream cheese instead of cheese, its non fat, low carbs, and has 5g of protein for 2 tbs. and i eat cottage cheese but i can stand the fuckin taste.
 
i don't get along too well with dairy products, but i do get in my cottage cheese every night before i go to sleep. mix in some almond butter, cinnamon and a little splenda and it almost feels like i'm cheating.

that sounds good. I don't really like cottage cheese, so I don't eat it much but I'd like to try the chive and toasted onion!

Im so picky at what i like since i dont eat meat.
But i do love cottage cheese..Im gonna go buy some now.
My other fav. thing is avacados..but i have to limit my intake of that.

Its not go post workout because the protein in it is slowly absorbed... post workout you want a quick absorbing protein to get to your muscles w/in a certain time frame.

Its good before bed because the slow absorbing protein lasts for a few hours, so your at least getting nutrients for a couple hours while you sleep, rather than for none at all.
