Anyone know about phosphatidic acid?

Heard some things about this. Not sure if it's just another OTC aupplement that doesn't work well or if anyway has tried/heard good things about it?

The studies I've seen don't really knock my socks off. Of course supplement places are all over it.

Here's a study that I had found while looking into PA: Efficacy of phosphatidic acid ingestion on lean body mass, muscle t... - PubMed - NCBI

Interesting that the authors of that study attributed the gains to the PA supp, yet conveniently ignored the fact that the control group were consuming 2.1g/kg of protein while the treatment group were on 2.6g/kg...

I suspect the treatment group made better gains because of the higher protein intake rather than the PA itself :)

There are quite a few like that too. Funny how that works, I wonder who would fund such studies... ;)

That was interesting to read thank you. I saw an advertisement for it saying 5.8 lbs of muscle in 8 weeks which of course is not accurate but I wasn't sure if there was any true to it being effective.

Pretty sure I'd rather spend that money on a vial of test and a tub of creatine. Marketing can make a pile of steaming crap sound like it's something you can't live without - but in the end, it's still poo. ;)
