Are steroids addicting? Do we develope a need to out do our last cycle? Will we ever be "satisfied" with what we see when we look in the mirror?

They Can be EXTREMLY addicting. But then again, so can chocolate, soda. Everybody is different. Some have addictive personalities, others dont. I believe if you do them in moderation, then your straight.

the drugs themselves arnt physically addicting but the results make Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) psycologically addictive.

quicker recovery
quicker growth
leaner body/quicker leaning out
more energy
higher sex drive
greater strength

these are hard to give up, very hard. the hair loss sucks though...

Addiction is a medical condition. NO they are not addicting, but they are or can become habit forming. For me I started my first cycle saying I was just going to do one cycle, but 3 down the line iam still fucking around. Its like when you walk in to a room and jaws drop! I LOVE THAT!!! No medical withdraws from it.

Absolutely. Not phsycially, but mentally. Once you train on steroids, it's almost impossible to go back unless you have physical problems. I don't know of anyone who tried steroids and said "their okay, but i'd rather train naturally". When I'm off, all I can think about is going back on.

That's what I'm talking about bro!!......non medical but definitely mental at times....one leads to another, so on, so forth...Then you start the self questioning of what gear to use, how long of a cycle should I run, should I stack it? Injectable or Oral? Bulking or Cutting? Base or site injects? Dosage amount per day, week? Are these signs of a mental addiction to become bigger, faster, stronger? Have you ever worked out so hard you passed out? Tossed your lunch? If this isn't a addiction for the simple purpose of self gradification then what is?

No more addictive than lifting a weight to begin with.

Agreed, but do you notice that when you miss a workout you become angy/depressed? And the more you workout, it seems the more you need to workout? That's what I find at least.

yeah bro, I totally agree with you. thats very true. nobody just does one cycle and leaves it at that.

When you are addicted to something, its usually for pleasure. I mean, smokers NEED a cigarette often throughout the day, and Im not a smoker so I wouldnt know how to split up the addiction. meaning...50% physical, 50% mental. Im not sure. But a very large part of smoking is physically addicting. its not like anyone wakes up in the AM, panicing and stressed out...then once they inject themselves, they calm down. So steroids are not physically addicting, your body does not crave them like it would crave nycotine to an individual who smokes. Mentally, they can be VERy addicting.

I mean...Its safe to say that I am addicted to steroids. the 1st step is admitting you have an adiction right boys?? LOL

SHIT, send me to AA

yes they are definately mentally addictive, the feeling of euphoria you get while on cycle is like nothing else....and you shouldnt ever be satisfied with what you have you should reach your goal then make a higher goal and keep on going and going

Addiction is a chronic disorder proposed to be precipitated by a combination of genetic, biological/pharmacological and social factors. Addiction is characterized by the repeated use of substances or behaviors despite clear evidence of morbidity secondary to such use.

Physical dependence on a substance is defined by the appearance of characteristic withdrawal symptoms when the substance or behavior is suddenly discontinued.

Psychological addictions are a dependency of the mind, and lead to psychological withdrawal symptoms. Addictions can theoretically form for any rewarding behavior, or as a habitual means to avoid undesired activity, but typically they only do so to a clinical level in individuals who have emotional, social, or psychological dysfunctions, taking the place of normal positive stimuli not otherwise attained

Psychological addiction, as opposed to physiological addiction, is a person's need to use a drug or engage in a behavior despite the harm caused out of desire for the effects it produces, rather than to relieve withdrawal symptoms. Instead of an actual physiological dependence on a drug, such as heroin, psychological addiction usually develops out of habits that relieve symptoms of loneliness or anxiety. As the drug is indulged, it becomes associated with the release of pleasure-inducing endorphins, and a cycle is started that is similar to physiological addiction. This cycle is often very difficult to break.
It is also considered possible to be both psychologically and physically addicted at the same time. Some doctors make little distinction between the two types of addiction, for the result -- substance abuse -- is the same. However, the cause of the addiction in either case is quite different, as is the type of treatment preferred.
Psychological addiction does not have to be limited only to substances; even various activities and behavioral patterns may be considered addictions if they are harmful, e.g. gambling, Internet use, usage of computers, sex / pornography, eating, self-harm or work.

When I told a bro that I was gonna do "1 quick cycle only" He told me that I would never lift natural again.

I think he might be right.

It's true. Once you realize theres a suppliment that works that isnt that expensive that you can use twice a year, you wont go back. Why?

Ok guys.......next senario......lets say we finish up our cycle and all went well, we get up on the weekend and run to the store. There you see someone who hasn't seen you in awhile. Their first words are" damn you got jack" or "your fu*king huge" so on, so forth...does this trigger the desire even more to get right back on ASAP??? Does other peoples perception effect our better judgement sometimes?

Ugg...ok, bro...thats honestly a stupid question. Does it trigger the desire to do another cycle?

thats intirely up to the person. No doubt, when people compliment you as such, its a great feeling and does give you motivation. And the type of motivation that it gives a person, is intirely up to them. I mean, someone could tell me I am looking amazing, so that could just make me feel good and motivate me to continue training hard and eating clean, OR, it could make me think, Oh well shit...I gotta cycle again so people continue to think that and I continue to look good, etc... does this make sense? its all up to you. Everyones different.

For me personally, no, when people compliment me (and they do because I run into people who i havent seen since high school when I weighed 130lbs soaking wet) it wouldnt give me the desire to cycle again. It would just give me motivation to continue training hard and eating a good diet.

out at sea, i smoked...dropped that shit in one day. At school, i dipped enough to fill a 20oz bottle every 2-3 days, dropped that the day i got a girlfriend. Even did coke hardocre one night but no desire to do again. As addicting as people makes things out to be, it's all a mind game. People are weak and like having the excuse the something is chemically addicting. All bullshit, it's mind over matter. If you really wanted to quit, you'd quit.

The only reasons to quit steroids could be money issues, law issues, health issues, or in the extreme case, you have the exact body you want and you only go to the gym twice a week to maintain. As long as everything is in check and done right, why fucking stop?
