Are steroids right for me? First Post

I just started working out in January of this year. I started out at 150lbs I gained 10lbs in about a two months. I was very excited about the results. I took a little while off from weight training to focus on some tournaments but I am ready to get back to working out.

My goal it to weight about 170-175lbs and be pretty cut. I am wondering if doing a cycle is the way to go or if I can reach this goal with out steroids. I have no intentions of getting huge. I am looking into this just for the looks. I just want to have a better body. I learned a lot about lifting when I first started from a personal trainer so I know the basics in the gym and how to train.

So basicly I am asking do you think I should look in to doing a cycle or should I just go at it with out the added help, since my goals are not that far off? If you do think a cycle is right for me what should I take?

Current Stats

161 lbs.

Low Body fat, not sure what it is, but it is low.

wait. you startedworking out in january? like 2003 or 2002?

either way, dont juice..you havent trained long enough yet.

i started lifting seriously when i was 14 and didnt start juicing until i was 22

you might get to your goals naturally and plus you will save a lot of money and legal problems and even theft (scammers)

I'd train 100% natural, until you hit a plateau that you simply can't overcome--then hit it. That's the point when you know you have a solid base imo. That is, if you are training hard & are keeping your protein levels high. A base is a good thing. When you come off, you will still have it. Think of it that way bro.

SkedMedz are you saying that you lose your gains after you quit taking the roids? I am really new to all this so if my ? sounds stupid that is why.

vball, gains could be kept for the most part, but your goals aren't that lofty. with a good diet you could easily reach your goals. from my point of view, there is sooo much to learn before you could make a decent decision to do aas, and by that time you would already be where you want to be.

Alot of guys here will say no. But in my experiences you will(no matter how much post-cycle therapy you take) definitely lose at least some of them bro. Said loses can be abbreviated with Clomid, post cycle. Look at it this way:

When I first took Test Suspension(about 100 years ago), I was benching like 250 for a fiver(5th rep being hard). After two weeks I was getting #300 for a fiver. After I came off, I stayed at #275 for that same count. When you come off, you don't want to lose the weights you could play with while on, so you really(at least me) don't realize that you managed to up your 5-count-bench 25 lbs. And that was with ZERO post-cycle therapy bro.

So it depends. On the hormone you take. Your "base". And what you do post-cycle, to counteract the loses.

It's a very difficult question... I usually will never advise someone use anabolics until they have reached their natural or genetic plateau... as if you can get there naturally... then you shouldn't use anabolics to get there...

for instance... I started off at 160lbs after track at IU... I gained up to 200 naturally... and stayed at that weight for a year... it took me about 4 years to add 40lbs naturally... I started anabolics at age 25, after training since age 20... at least seriously in the gym...

If you think you have reached a plateau... then you can take them, however, 6 months, and the gains you've made... I would stay natural for another 6 months at least.

C-ditty

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking anabolics at your age, but like everyone's said it'd be a waste of money:

Why spend $$$ and stab yourself in the ass, shut down your balls, etc. when you can get the same results still by just training well in the gym and eating better?

Take your cash and go buy some creatine and some good whey protein powder!

i think the basic idea that the bros are getting at here is that it takes years to build the foundation required to begin AAS. it can in fact be dangerous if you do not have a solid foundation. for example, your gains could go too far too fast and your joints, tendons, bones, etc will not be able to handle the stress....you can seriously get injured. if your going to do Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) not much we can say to stop you....we just hope you take the time to educate yourself and do it the RIGHT WAY!
