Axiron, any previous experience?

Doctor just put me on Axiron, only recently released from what I have read. From Lilly. On 60mg a day, started Friday. Anyone else thats been on it yet? She said my test levels were really low, but that after 4 weeks we would run another blood test then mess with dosages, then another 4 after that.

If you read the package insert sheet, levels can be checked anytime after 2 weeks, IMO, the sooner, the better. Steady state levels are reached in a couple of days, so there's no reason to wait.

The only 'clinical' studies appear to be ones done by the Axiron people which doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence in the product.

Tried it for 2 months, eventually upping the dosage to three applications (180 mg) per day, but with little success. Total test was not too bad at low mid-range, but as expected, DHT - off the scale.

Considering the cost and marginal effectiveness, overall I was not too impressed, however, as with any transdermal product YMMV.

What did you go to after?

Still considering the options.

I was intrigued with a clinical study that showed significant test increases just from anastrozole mono-therapy, so trying that currently... and then in a couple weeks, want to add HCG and see how that works out.

My total test levels were originally just under 400 so I might be one of those secondary guys that responds to alternate therapies. One thing I've learned these past few months is that a disproportionate number of guys who post on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) boards are much younger (than me) and seem to be afflicted with primary hypogonadism that only responds to supplemented test. Could be the route I will need to take also, but wanted to try some other approaches first.

Have not had another blood test, but about all Ive notced so far is a huge boost in libido. Which wasn't even on my list of symptoms, and my girl is scared if it gets any tougher on her nether region.
