I'm being constructive here Matt when I say that your cut has gone a lot better than your bulk...

Considering you hammered the Tren on your bulk, I'd have expected more musculature (flexed or not flexed)

Now please don't take the negatives out of what I have just said...

You are in good shape now, low bodyfat, abs popping through, keep it up...

But when you finish your cut and start your next cycle - I would really concentrate on textbook techniques, slow progressive poundage increases on predominantly compound lifts, lots of drop sets, fail sets, supersets, rest pause sets etc in your isolation work - and in general up your workout intensity throughout.

You posted a video a long time ago on YouTube of you squatting with to be honest - awful technique... and you were quite rightly chastised for it. My advice to you now, is to overhaul everything you did on your last bulk, evaluate where you went wrong, and get some sort of structure to putting things right. Because to look at you right now, you don't have anywhere near the musculature you should have considering the compounds you were taking.

Like I said, no flaming here... just trying to point out a couple of negatives that will hopefully help you take the next step on your journey...

Keep growing man! :)

Matt - you should also try different lighting and how you hold the camera gives different effects . Remember its not always how you look , its how you come off on the pictures .

Alot of guys in these muscle forums dont look that good in person but snapped off some great pics with the right lighting & camera angle .

Overhead lighting & floor lighting/rear lighting can also be use to manipulate the look . Take pics in different locations and right after workouts especially .....~Bo

I'm sorry BoBoy, I have to disagree with that comment....

You don't spend your life walking around in areas where the light is best, you are judged by every bystander, from every angle 24hrs a day, 7 days a week....

Fair enough, if Matt was posing for modelling work etc, then he would have technically gifted cameramen to deal with all that shizzle... but he isn't.

He is on a steroid forum, asking us for an honest critique, which 99% of us give. We aren't housewives perving pics here, most of us love the iron game and all that goes in to building a bigger, better physique, albeit at differing levels on the ladder...

Personally, I know enough about a male physique in a picture to judge for myself whether that guy looks good or bad, favourable lighting or not - and I also know when someone is trying to hide weaker body parts.

Keep it raw!

I was trying to help Matt look his best so he doesnt have to listen to all the ridicule . This is not real life , this is the internet , where your judged by what pics you throw up for the highly judgemental audience .

My own avatar was the one of 20 pics I picked as the best & most impressive , I would have been a fool to throw up my worst pic , correct ? Would you want your worst pic plastered all over the net for eternity ? No. And Matt deserves to look his best no matter what his best is . He's no quitter & I admire that ......~Bo

Honest pic = honest critique...

Life sadly isn't looked at through rose-tinted spectacles my friend...

You post unrealistic shots on here and praise gets heaped on you - the glory goes to your head, next minute you are on stage, totally out of your depth when those judges actually see the real you!

By all means pick your all-time favourite pic for your avatar... no issues there...

But when I post progress pics - I want you to see the meat and potatoes... not the basil-coated relish.

I take pics whenever I feel bad lighting or whatever, when I hit the gym and looking into the mirror after a good pump its a total dif ball game pic wise, bo is right here
As far as the critique goes I appreciate it man, not going to take it the wrong way man, een really concentratig on my forum, dropping the weights quite abit and wprking on my technique for the past 6 months or so
As far as the squat video goes, I have stated this before, I was foolish and stupid on ky part, I dont lift like that nomore and honestly dont squat nomore due to my acl issues
I wouldnt classified it as a true bulk in my books right now, cause I am really watching my weight gain and waist measurement right now due to its summer time here and we only get nice weather for 4 to 5 months, so I'd like to take the tarp off without worrying about the fat lol, my true bulk is going to happen in oct or nov adding in some test, deca, and tren, I am treating this as more of a recomp, I am eating 300 cals over maintanence for 4 days on heavy lifting days, and if I feel I am getting to bloated I will drop the carbs down/cals to 300 cals below maintanence for the last 3 days of the week on small muscle groups, almost like a recomp I am treating it as
But I have went from 175 to 181 in the last couple weeks, keeping waist line pretty much the same

As far as tren goes, I far out better side wise then any other aas out there, sleep lioe a baby, no night sweats, no anxiety ect, ect, feel good on tren, either tren loves u or hates u, to many people gt wraped up in all the bad stuff tren so called has to offer and get brain washed on tren, start to panic, and next thing u know they dont run tren nomore
Only way I can think why I far out with tren so good is I love the aggressive edge ot offers, as maybe others dont like that feeling, I am more of an aggressive person to begin with, out spoken as well so people dont notice a big dif when I am on tren as others that run it that are low key people begin with and begin to wonder wtf is wrong with him these days lol, see it all the time, quiet guy before tren turns out to be an asshole on it

Good to hear you are thinking of form now and training as it should be done...

Also totally understand your reasoning for maintaining your cut through the summer months...

But I would already, even at this stage, be getting a picture in your head as to how to start packing on some serious muscle for next year.... your cut has gone well, your body fat percentage reducing nicely, vascularity is coming, as are the abs.... but it has exposed the fact that your poor form last year didn't build as much muscle as it could have done. On the positive side, at least you know the cut works for next summer now.

With this style of cut, on top of a winter with good quality training, clean bulking food and supps - you should be looking immense this time next year :)

Always look to the future!

That must be a UK expression. I have never heard that one before! :-)

Sugar-coated sounds better to my ears.

It's a play on words Megatron...

You are correct, it is 'sugar-coated' - but that didn't work with my meat and potatoes analogy...

So I tweaked it to suit!

Once a journalist - always a journalist lol ;)
