Bacteriostatic water for mixing HCG

Hi guys quick question, I'm from Australia and about to start my HCG injections. I went down to the needle exchange the other day to pic up some bac water but the vial they gave me doesn't actually say bacteriostatic water. On the front of the plastic vial it says "water for injection" and they told me its sterile water that can be mixed with anything that then needs to be injected?

Is all sterile water for injection the same or is there something special about this bacteriostatic water? I hope its all the same because I just mixed up a 5000iu vial of HCG last night as I needed to start my injections.

bacteriostatic water has .9% benzyl alcohol in it. Look at the vial you got to see if it has in it, it just increases how long you can store it. I would not worry to much about it. Put what you mixed in the fridge. there are alot of sources on the internet for bacterio static water easy to find.

how long will it be good for if I leave it in the fridge? I at least need 5 weeks out of it do u think it will be ok

If it does have the benzyl alcohol you should get a month or so out of it, if it is just sterile water I have heard it is good for about a week. the benzyl alcohol acts as a perservative

Ok well im pretty sure its just sterile water and and only having 1 week to use it is useless to me. Is there something I can do to preserve this so it will last the 5 weeks?

man i'm not sure. I'll tell you what I would do is keep it cool and just keep using it and hope for the best. I'm not saying thats the right thing to do but it is what i would do.

Remember people have been doing this for a long time without using Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), i dont think it is absolutely necessary.

Sounds like they gave you sterile water. If you can't get bac water, I would order 1000iu or 2000iu vials instead.

there is a difference between bacterostatic water and sterile water not sure all the details but sterile water doesn't keep as long as bacterostatic water. you got sterilke water at the needle exchange where addicts come to get needles and water to dilute thier heroin,meth,and coke to inject im.....no need for long shelf life....do some resarch on what you have so you know exactly what you have...talk to the peeps at the exchange. they are used to hard core addicts so you asking exactly what kind of water they provide for steriod use won't be a big deal....imo...

Hey op, ok you could also get some bacteriostatic water and dilute your mixture out some, would do like 1 to 1 concentration. that would be .45% benzyl alcohol and would take twice as much volume for the injection for same IU but may make it last longer.

That's the correct idea Nate. The thing is that bac water prevents bacteria from forming extending shelf live in part.

Also hcg willstart to degrade, but does so at a very slow rate. The best way to tell if it's still good after any length of time is to test it with a OTC pregnancy test.

I could only get 5000iu vials and this stuff is super hard to get in Australia. I have drawn the mix in to the individual slin pins last night could I just freeze it and put it back in the fridge 24 hours before my next shot so its ready to go??? I just dont want to waste this stuff its to hard to get. With the way I mixed it I need 50units which is .5mil for 250IU if I diluted it even more with bac water I would basically be injecting about 100units per shot for 250IU is this to much???

No that's not to much at all. I'm not sure about freezing hcg. You could google it. Is it possible to get bac water there? That is your safest bet. Or you could purchase a scale that measures that small of an amount of powder and divide it into 5 separate vials. Hopefully you can get bac water

Had the same problem. I mixed it with the injectable solution which is just sterile water and kept it in the fridge.
