Ok, sooo here is where I'm at:

I'm cutting right now. I feel like I'm losing too rapidly. I am very afraid of the possible mass loss. Any ideas on monitoring and tweaking technique of diet in cutting phase so as to not eat up all the hard earned muscle and mass I've gained? In the past I've been really ambivalent about hte loss, and have chalked it up as just a fact of cutting, but now I really don't think I have to view it that way. Help me out bros.

Thanks!!!! got to get the balance right!

Just up your caloric intake a little. If you feel your still loosing too fast, up some more.

What's your maintenance intake of calories? What's your current intake?

I usually do not go below 500 cals from mainenance because I feel I lose to rapidly as well.

My maintenance area is rougly 2600 when considering activity and such. Right now I'm taking in 1900. I lowered down my caloric intake at 100 cals a week. So I've been in this process for seven weeks. My protein intake is up a lot higher than usual, but I guess I assume too much in terms of protein protecting that loss. Gotta tweak this stuff and get it right. Thanks man for the incite.

You should have your bodyfat tested regularly while cutting. Thats the only way to determine exactly how much fat and muscle you are losing.
