Bedtime meal when cutting?

So my daily workout begins at 5PM. I finish up at about 6:40 or so and I get home at about 7PM. I typically down some 100% whey, skim milk and a cup of apple sauce (26G of simple carbs) as soon as I get home.

I generally go to bed at about 10PM. Should I eat anything before? If so, what kinds of foods would you recommend? Protein only? I get nervous about eating carbs so late while loosing weight. Also, I really don't like the idea of NOT eating any whole foods at night.

FYI, during the rest of the day, I try to eat mostly whole foods. Good lean proteins with complex carbs and fats in approximately 40/40/20 proportion. I aim for about 200-300g of protein (I weigh about 220#).

I wouldn't be overly concerned about... Of course you don't want to down a loaf of bread or eat a plate of pasta right before bed but a few carbs w/your protein shake is fine... Especially if you push it hard in the gym all week. I generally have a small to medium protein shake w/something like a bowl of All-Bran cereal (great for fiber as well) or a flax-oat bran muffin or a little granola, etc... about 40 minutes before bed. Just be sensible.
