bench press competition, they want me

I would say just do it. WHat do you have to lose. 70% of my body weight comes out to be about 180-185. I'm sure I could do that for oh 35-45 reps or so. I know I can do 225 for 25 reps. I mean if the absolute best guy does 80 reps you have to wonder, how manyn others will be at his level. Not to mention this isn't exactly a mainstream type of event. I say give it a go.
 
the bench press... americas favorite workout. i see people at the gym who bench and curl every day. they will come in the gym and do 4 sets of flat benching, then they will do 3 sets of curling and back to benching for 4 more sets, then go to curls once again and they are gone. they do the same thing every single day. morons ! all they do is bench and curl everyday. iam done bitching..... i say go for it angry
