Blood Results???

Session25

New member
I just got some blood results back (ive just been running some test (500mg/wk) and a few things jumped out at me and concerned me. Some insight, interpretation, and guidance would be helpful.

Urea Nitrogen - 23 (normal range is 6-20)

Cholesterol
HDL - 28 Low
LDL - 139 High

Triglycerides - 155 High

RBC - 6.24 High (4.5-5.3 M/uL)
Hemoglobin - 17.9 High (13.0-16.0 g/dL)
Hematocrit - 51.5 High (37-49)

Im no doctor, but i know my cholesterol is not good, and the RBC and Hemoglobin shows my blood is flowing sluggish due to the increase in red blood cells. the urea nitrogen is what really concerns me. i assume these side effects of juicing is pretty common, so what do most people do to get these health concerns under control or try to get them better?

First of all, what does your diet look like? This will help us further help you.

Meal 1: Shake consisting of (banana, oatmeal, peanut butter, egg whites, milk, protein powder) and 2 slices of toast
Meal 2: 7oz chicken, 8oz sweet potato, 1.5 cups veggies
Meal 3: 7oz chicken, 2 cups brown rice, 1.5 cups veggies
Meal 4: PWO: 40g Whey, 5g creatine
Meal 5: 7oz chicken, 1.5 cups rice, 1.5 cups veggies
Meal 6: 6oz greek yogurt, 40g Casein, 2tbsp pb

You need to donate blood. Also, start taking aspirin (half a regular aspirin ED). When I say aspirin I mean old school aspirin and not tylonol. When you go to donate blood one of the questions they will ask is if you have taken aspirin in the last 24 hours....say no.

How is your Blood Pressure? If it is high try and get it down some before you go to give blood. If its too high they won't let you donate.

Also, are you drinking a gallon (or close to it) of water a day?

Also, consider the fact you are on test your colestorol is "not that bad" I know you are out of range but its really not that bad. Honestly none of your numbers alarm me. I would say its time to give blood. This is a common newb (no offense) mistake. When you are on cycle or blasting and crusing it's a good idea to give blood every 60 days. I also recommend low dose asprin.

I personally add low impact cardio (incline walking) as part of my "good health" strategy. 20-25 minutes 3 times a week helps a lot...especially when it comes to heart health. I know a lot of guys hate cardio... Especially my PL brothers. Bit the shit works

As prisonsex said, Your cholesterol is fine but you should donate blood, probably 4x a year if you can and you are still cycling. With regards to your urea, what was your creatinine???

Thanks for the advice guys, the creatine ive been using is this CGT-10 by Optimum Nutrition: Lowest Prices at Muscle & Strength

i guess my plan is to do these things and see if it helps:
1. start doing some cardio (walking) - i rarely ever do cardio at the gym
2. go donate some blood, should i donate whole blood, or double red cells?
3. stop taking my C4 preworkout supp (prob not helping)
4. drink more water, i havent been getting enough lately
5. get some aspirin

the high BUN levels can be from high protein diet and creatine.

He's referring to your creatinine results in blood test, lol not what creatine brand your taking

Also you are taking too much creatine, c4 already contains creatine in it and your also taking creatine seperately.. too much imo

oh duh my bad, my creatine levels were elevated, but not out of range. i think it was like 1.24 on a range to 1.60 or something

No need for double blood cell, plasma or others....just a good old fashion blood donation. The half and aspirin will help pretty quickly. With in days of your blood donation you will be back in range.
