Body chemistry difference between ectomorphic, mesomorphic, endomorphic people

Does the science knows the answer to this? Recently I worked with a collegue whos an ectomorph, during 12 hour period he ate like 4 heavy meals of whatever and went to bathroom like 3 times. And I had a breakfast before going to work and was full for the whole day... What the hell is wrong with my body that I cant eat whatever I want? When I start eating only when hungry, all my muscles diminish and I become skinny fat. When I eat what I want, my chins tripple within moments. Does science know how to fix this already?

Big fat greasy thanks as always

Yes, there are differences, such as thyroid output, ghrelin and leptin levels, natural testosterone values, insulin sensitivity, and propensity to store visceral fat.

Some are genetic, some are acquired.

Great! I was expecting the mystical word of "genetics" or "bad roll of the dice".
So I should do a blood work on thyroid, ghrelin, leptin, testosterone, insulin? I will be back here with my results in a week will you help to let me know what those results mean and whats my next move?

Blood work would be insightful. I think you'd be better off posting up your diet here - do you follow a properly set up diet consistently? Or are you just assuming caloric/macronutrient intake? Most guys that have problems gaining too much fat or losing muscle are usually just having problems with the diet. It's very very easy to over/underestimate what your eating.

Some people who are really leptin sensitive can subconciously burn off all the extra calories they eat during the day by ramping up NEAT (all the movements you make outside the gym.) Others just have fast metabolism, insulin sensitivity, ghrelin, etc. etc.

Like Half mentioned, there is a lot of factors. Put basically there's not a whole a lot you can do about your genetics. It's 90% in the diet bro.

I dont think thats true sir. I just think its a flaw in body chemistry. I'm 23 now and it started after my 19 birthday. All my family members are the same, on the heavy side, easily gaining weight, hardly dropping. I just think that if I eat 3 times a day and go to the bathroom for a biggie once every 2 days, thats not right. When I workout and restrict my calory intake, all I get is a lost muscle mass and flapping empty skin.

I don't know if there are any affordable panels to check for some of those hormones, but our DNA can most certainly be programmed to "kick in" at a certain point. It is a bad roll of the genetic dice, but it IS something that can be beaten.

PrinceDianabol is right in that diet will be the big deciding factor at play due to these differences. Some guys are simply more prone to carbohydrate sensitivity, and bloat/gain fat as their bodies just can't handle the bombardment of sugars flowing into the blood stream. Some guys can eat ice cream and cake, yet never gain a pound of fat as their bodies put it to use immediately.

However, I would get a full workup and see where everything is. Dropping a deuce every two days sounds like a sluggish metabolism to me, which can be ruled out with a thyroid panel. I'd look at testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, liver enzymes, lipids, TSH, t4, t3, rt3, prolactin, cortisol for starters. It's likely going to be cheaper if you have insurance and can request this through your doctor, however if you want to get it done online - we'll do our best to help you decipher the results.

There are usually 2 types of individuals when it comes to this kind of thing, provided bloodwork doesn't show an anomaly (hypothyroidism, hypogonadism, etc).

Type 1:
- Easily loses fat on a severe caloric deficit with no issues in retaining muscle mass.
- Struggles to build muscle on a caloric surplus due to higher than expected fat gain.

Type 2:
- Struggles losing fat on a caloric deficit without sacrificing muscle.
- Easily builds muscle on a surplus with no issues about excess fat gain.

Depending on what camp you fit in, you can adjust your diet/training to work with your genetics rather than battling against them.

Others have provided much more useful information for you here than I will. But, just for the sake of fun I'll mention that on top of all of your genetics, science is increasingly interested in the genetics of all the bacteria in your gut. Turns out those little buggers can release a bunch of stuff that will effect expression of your own genes. A couple of studies have shown that if you take the bacteria from a fat rat's gut and put it in a skinny rat, that rat will gain weight and vice versa. Not to mention they can very precisely measure the calorie input on these animals. Cool stuff.

Oh, and there are do it yourself FMT kits. Take that for a google search.

What kind of diet and training would you recommend for these types?

Who is that in your avatar??????
